My focus is on improving students Maths and English skills. I have a passion for teaching and in particular a passion for teaching maths. Personal tuition is by far the most direct route for building confidence and competence. Tutor sessions will be personalised to individual needs, agreed at the outset and modified as necessary according to your wishes and my guidance. The general aim of my tutoring provision is to build on strengths, identify and rectify weaknesses and consolidate the concepts underpinning the topics being studied. I currently teach part-time at an Independent Preparatory School where I prepare children for their Common Entrance and Scholarship Maths exams at 13+. I have successfully prepared many students for entrance exams into all local independent schools and to many top independent schools South of the Border. I have an excellent idea of exam content and structure. I also have an excellent awareness and 1st hand understanding of teaching techniques for pupils with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD or similar learning difficulties and disabilities. I have extensive 1st hand knowledge of this due to having 2 sons of my own who have Fragile X Syndrome. I am a member of the GTCS and have a recent Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
