So another year at Pitcorthie playgroup has come to an end. We have said goodbye to some of our chldren moving on and look forward to welcoming those staying and starting with us in August. Thanks to one of our parents' business for their financial support this year, it means a lot. Have a lovely summer everyone

Pay: £13.45 -£14.15/hr
Job Description:
Every Monday 9.15am to 12.30pm (this will change to 9.00 – 2.00 in August)
Relief cover as required between hours 8.00 – 3.30 pm Tuesday to Friday. There will be the opportunity for regular flexible afternoon sessions, which will be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate: £13.45 - £14.15(depending on experience and qualifications)

Our playgroup has a great opportunity for you to join our small, friendly team and especially if you love being outdoors. We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to permanently join the team on a Monday when we have our outdoor session, normally in Calais Woods or Aberdour Beach and be a relief member of staff to cover illness/absences etc Tuesday - Friday.
You should be an enthusiastic and motivated team member who is child focused and willing to work to ensure that our children are supported and encouraged to play and learn in a safe and nurturing environment. You should have at least one year of experience in pre-school childcare setting and be qualified in line with SSSC requirements. Consideration will be given to applicants who have experience in an similar setting who show commitment to gaining a relevant qualification. You should be eligible to register with SSSC and agree to appropriate PVG checks.

Playgroup opening hours (term time only)
Monday (outdoor session) 9.15 – 12.30 (9.30 – 2.30 in August)
Tues – Friday 9.00 – 2.00 (9.00 – 3.00 in August)
(Additional hours required before and after sessions for preparation)

This week at playgroup we have been celebrating World Book Day with lots of activities based around the children's favourite stories. Here are a few of our set-ups to encourage fine motor skills, creative play, role play, sensory play and share a love of stories 📖

This week we have been celebrating World Book Day.
We had a visit from Asda community champion Julie who did some super 'Supertato' crafts with the children. They made paintings using potato stamps, and even got to make their very own Supertato characters!
A huge thanks to Julie for coming along. The children had a brilliant time.
