I just wanted to shout out a big ‘Hello’ to everyone and send all my Nina’s Nurture friends and followers a wee update.
Since starting this wonderful journey all the families, I have worked with have come to me through recommendations from my friends. Which is a good job as I am so terrible at posting on here🤣!! It has been more than a year since I updated everyone, and it is long overdue, but I have lots of exciting things to share with you about what I have been busy doing in the past year.
This year I have focused on further developing my own skills and knowledge around wellbeing and working with families. I have had the privilege to work part time with an educational charity International Futures Forum(IFF) who create Kitbag, a wonderful resource which amongst many other things supports children to talk about their feelings and emotions. I was extrmely proud to have been awarded accreditation as an IFF Kitbag trainer. Kitbag, is a resource which I often use in my work engaging with families.
I also completed my training as a befriender with a children’s charity and have spent the last year working as a volunteer supporting children and their families. This has been a wonderful experience where I have learned so much and been able to draw on all my skills and expertise to support the children in my care.
Being part of my own wee family and being a parent to two teenagers is one of the hardest but most rewarding things I have ever done. My own children are both navigating all the challenges and amazing things within their lives, and I learn from this every day! All these rich learning and life experiences help me whenever I work with a family through Nina’s Nurture.
Every child and family are completely unique and the support you need is tailored carefully to you. My vision for Nina’s Nurture is to help families create a happy and healthy home environment. I support you in developing strong relationships, building empathy and resilience. Many families come to me because their child may be struggling with feeling anxious or with managing their emotions or attending school. These are all challenges I can hep you with, and will work through them together with you and your child. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the families that have welcomed me into their lives and homes again in this past year. It has been a privilege to help support and encourage your children and to help you foster those strong relationships that help you connect as a family.
Please, if you would like to learn more about my work or indeed have friends who you feel might benefit from finding out more, my website has a much more detailed description of all the work that I do. To find out more go to http://www.ninasnurture.co.uk/ or email [email protected]. I would greatly appreciate you sharing and liking the post to spread the word! 🥰😘😄
