FCSS, the only charity in Scotland to deliver and champion flexible childcare provision, was created after it was found that parents were unable to accept offers of employment due to a lack of high quality, flexible, accessible and affordable childcare.
We believe in Making Mealtimes Matter and follow the Setting the Table Guidance from the Care Inspectorate.
Take a look at how the children in our Flexible Childcare Services Cummings Park nursery are serving themselves, taking responsibility of their dirty dishes and socialising over lunch. Fabulous! 😍

We urge your to read, like and share this fantastic report from the team at Scottish Women's Budget Group.
The feedback from parents in the report reaffirm why is so important for all parents, particularly women, in allowing them to contribute fully to the labour market.
The recommendations, including greater flexibility of how funded hours are used will have a huge impact on families.
Many local authorities in areas where we work already allow this but there is still more work we can do to convince others. Hopefully this report will will achieve that goal!
