This week marks one year since nineteen women left Afghanistan with the support of the Linda Norgrove Foundation, alongside the UK and Scottish Governments.

Among them is Muzhda Iqbal, now studying at the University of Dundee’s School of Medicine. She admits they had “lost all hope” after the Taliban banned women from University education.

Now, Muzhda says she has found “wonderful kindness” in Scotland, and Dundee has become her “second home.”
