Heyyy all, yes the society has been running, yes there has been a delay in posts but we’re back on insta ahaha. I’d like to welcome you all to our Tuesday sessions ideal for absolutely everyone regardless of debating experience and our Thursday sessions which once again are welcome to absolutely everyone but are for people interested in developing their skills more and particularly for those interested in going to competitions. Heyyyy guys, we all love some chill cosy vibes so why not come along to our Friday social at Blend! The plan is to meet and get to know each other and vibe through a series of questions (that I hand picked;), on a whole host of fun topics. Blend is hosting a bistro and live music night so should be a great atmosphere and if you’re hungry there’s plenty of food and drinks available.

Dear Debaters,
Welcome to Thursday training!!! I would highly recommend everyone to come to Thursday debating, especially new debaters, because Freddy’s expert training and feedback combined with the opportunity to debate means that you will get better really quickly! It will be fun, rewarding and maybe even frustrating sometimes but that’s all part of the magic of debating. I hope that you will come to enjoy debating as much as Freddy and I have. Thursday’s will be more competition focussed than Tuesdays, it will be starting today at 7:30PM in Dalhousie 2F02. See ya then;)

Another competition opportunity has come up! Aberdeen is allowing us to enter 2 teams to their internal competition for novices (people new to debating) it’s next Saturday. It will be some chill times with excellent debate, judging and feedback. No registration fee, and we'll be back in the same evening. Let me know by tomorrow night if you want to go.

Hey guys Bogwall is coming up!!!!
Bogwall is the annual scottish university debating competition for novices (people new to debating), the best way to learn about debating and to get experienced in it is to go to a competition!!! Its a great day and I would highly recommend everyone new to debating to sign up to go! If you think you are too experienced of if you want to go but you want to judge instead then let me know! Bogwall is happening on the 22nd of October for a day in Edinburgh! We’ll travel up and down together! If you want to go then let me know by messaging the Instagram or Facebook or emailing us and saying that you want to go! Teams are 2 people, so you will be put together with someone else- if there's someone you want to be partnered with tell me. Registration is £12.50 per person in a team, which will also pay for dinner! Debate will also look at covering some of the travel costs! We will teach you how to debate in our Tuesday training sessions!!! If you have any questions then just message us!
