❗️Jordan Brown from Very Evil Demons

• Join us for another industry talk! Jordan will be talking to us about Worker Co-operatives and how they work in the Games Industry.

• They will discuss their experience working at different companies from small locals to large international companies like Unity Technologies.

• For those unaware, a worker cooperative is a business owned and managed by its workers where management can be elected or voted upon

• This should be of interest to... everyone! As you may join a Co-operative after university!

This week we are joined by David Shaw, a freelance composer with 8 years of industry experience working on a mixture of feature films, documentaries, video games, and podcasts.

They will be talking to us about their experience composing and freelancing!

Don't have a portfolio yet? No problem! Take this opportunity to create one using platforms like Wix and Carrd. Compile your coursework submissions, competition entries, or AGDS jams to showcase your skills.

That wraps up today's pre Global Game Jam meetup! Thank you to all our members for coming along and a special thanks to The Bank Bar bar for hosting us! This month is Packed with A lot of industry talks, this is a great way to gain industry knowledge whilst still persuing a degree. our first talk would be held on the 9th of november in room 2517 by
Kanaris-Soitiriou the co-founder and Creative Director of Polygon Treehouse. Dont miss it!!
