An audacious assassination in the heart of London triggers a whirlwind journey through the murky world of international espionage. Mixing high-stakes politics with darkly comic theatricality, A Very Expensive Poison propels us from Moscow to Mayfair to uncover the real-life poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko-where truth proves stranger than fiction.

Content warnings:

• Physical Distress: Depictions of the effects of Polonium-210 radiation poisoning, including extreme vomiting and illness.
• Violence & Death: Themes of murder, assassination, and violence.
• Mental Health: Mention of su***de.
