🎮 Recent graduate Ruairidh Booth has turned a lifelong love of video games into a career.

Studying BSc (Hons) Computer Games Application Development, Ruairidh took part in game jams, collaborated with industry professionals and created a final-year project exploring how games can adapt to players' emotions through facial expression tracking.

Now a graduate, he's looking ahead to a career in the games industry, building on the skills and experience he developed at Abertay.

For Game Design and Production graduate Innes Aitken, a Clearing place at Abertay opened the door to far more than a degree.

It led to leadership opportunities, industry connections, a trip to the world's biggest games development conference in San Francisco, an award-winning final year project and the launch of his own games company.

As thousands of students received their results this week, Innes's story shows that Clearing can be the start of an exciting new chapter.

🎮 This weekend at V&A Dundee, discover how inclusive design is changing the future of gaming.

'Game On: Adaptive Play' showcases six innovative games created by Abertay researchers and students. From accessible VR experiences to audio-led adventures and dementia-friendly game design, the exhibition explores how games can be designed for everyone.

Game On: Adaptive Play Play, test and experiment with video games exploring inclusive design

The next generation of cyber professionals took centre stage at Abertay recently, as school pupils from across Tayside joined us for QinetiQ's CyberFirst Advanced programme, a week-long initiative designed to build practical cyber security skills and showcase the wide range of opportunities available in the sector.

From digital forensics and cyber investigations to pe*******on testing and intelligence gathering, participants tackled real-world challenges while hearing directly from experts from the National Cyber Security Centre and The Scottish Government.

We're delighted that Abertay was selected as the only Scottish host for the programme, building on our recent recognition as a Gold Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education by the NCSC.
