Sewing Tuition in Dundee! At Sew Confident Dundee we teach a range of sewing and craft classes for all abilities. We also consume quite a lot of tea!

Classes are designed to build confidence and teach sewing skills in bite size sessions. We pride ourselves on providing a fun and friendly learning environment with a big emphasis on the social side of sewing. Ever fancied making your own clothes? 🧵✂️

Our Make Your Own Clothes Weekender is all about getting stuck into dressmaking, learning new skills and having a whole weekend to focus on sewing (without the usual distractions! 😂).

Whether you've never made a garment before or you've already got a few under your belt, these weekends are designed to help you build your confidence and tackle projects at your own pace.

From understanding patterns and fitting to picking up new techniques and figuring out those tricky bits, Laura will be on hand to guide you along the way.

You can choose a pattern that suits your skill level, work on something you've been wanting to make for ages and, of course, enjoy plenty of sewing chat along the way! ☕🧵

It's a lovely way to spend a weekend doing something for yourself, meeting other dressmakers and hopefully heading home with a handmade garment you're chuffed with! ❤️

We know lots of you are already in full festive crafting mode, because our wreath-making classes are filling up fast and we've already got one SOLD OUT crochet class! 😱

There's only a couple more festive classes to add before the timetable is complete, so if you're one of those organised people who likes to get Christmas sorted early, then go have a nosey and get yourself booked in! 🎄✂️

IT’S BACK! 👀🪟🧵

We know some of you have been waiting for this one… Curtain Making is BACK at Sew Confident Dundee! 🎉

It’s been a little while since we’ve run this class, but it’s finally back on the calendar and just in time to get those windows looking fabulous before Christmas.

Join us on Sunday 8th November, 10am–3pm and learn how to make your own lined curtains, from measuring up and working out how much fabric you need to choosing header tapes and getting that lovely professional finish. We will make small samples in class so you can take all your new knowledge away and put it into practice!

And no, you don’t need to have made curtains before! You just need some basic sewing experience and we’ll take you through the rest. 🧵

So… who’s got a window that’s been waiting patiently for some handmade curtains?

Our Beginners Sewing classes are designed to take you from “I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing” to “LOOK WHAT I MADE!” 😍
