If you’re concerned about how your son or daughter is coping with their learning, or feel they may have gaps and need help, please read on and find out more about us. Helping children achieve is what we love and do best. We provide educational support in English and maths for primary and secondary age students at every level of learning. Our programme and approach are world renowned and proven to help students gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. At Kip McGrath Dundee, we approach tutoring differently. We find out our student’s strengths and needs through a comprehensive FREE assessment and build a tailored programme. The Kip McGrath programme is exceptional. It’s progressive and effective, and provides opportunities for every student to build confidence and skills they need to succeed in their education in the way that suits them best. It’s been supporting students across the globe for over 40 years. Its effectiveness lies in the strength of the programme, delivered by qualified, experienced teachers. The combination ensures we can design and map a clear pathway to success. Our team are a partnership of qualified and highly experienced teachers who’ve been honing their craft for decades. Centre director Yvette Hill trained as a primary teacher in Dundee 15 years ago. Since then, she’s followed a special interest in understanding the complexities of children’s learning needs through teaching in ASN specialist schools and provisions, both primary and secondary, as teacher, principal and depute HT, whilst also gaining additional qualifications in Language and Communication Impairment in Children, and Autism. She’s worked closely with speech and language, physio and occupational therapists, and has a unique understanding of the ways in which learning barriers can be identified and overcome. She’s joined by her husband Christopher Hill, who manages the day to day operations of the centre, along with a team of exceptional teachers who love their craft. With specialisms in Primary and Secondary English and maths, the team are well placed to provide support across every age and stage of learning. Dundee centre is a top performing UK centre, delivering in-centre and online lessons weekly. Students and parents trust us (that’s why the majority of our growth has been by recommendation) and we have become part of their education support network. If you’d like to ensure the very best for your child’s education, get in touch to find out more about the Kip McGrath difference. “Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, courage over fear, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.”

Yesterday’s wander revealed bramble bushes laden with fruit. It reminded me of this gem of a poem that many of our students will know. Such a delicious time of year. 😋🍁

Here is a child who clambers and scrambles,
All by himself and gathering brambles;
Here is a tramp who stands and gazes;
And here is the green for stringing the daisies!
Here is a cart runaway in the road
Lumping along with man and load;
And here is a mill, and there is a river:
Each a glimpse and gone forever!.

‘From a Railway Carriage’ by R.L. Stevenson
