🌟 Meet the Team – Amanda! 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce you to Amanda! 💛

Looking back on last term, Amanda’s favourite part was watching the babies who were learning to walk continue to develop their skills and confidence. It’s so special to see their little personalities grow, and to think that some of the friendships they make at nursery could become lifelong friendships. 🥰

For the new term, Amanda is looking forward to continuing to support the babies and helping them get the very best start in life. She feels incredibly proud to have been part of their learning and development journey and is excited to see what the new term brings! 🌱✨

🏒 Fun fact about Amanda: She is an avid ice hockey fan and can’t wait for the new season to start! 🏒💙

Challenge Poverty Week is a chance to recognise the challenges that poverty can bring and to celebrate the positive actions that help support children and families within our community.
At Fintry Mains Nursery, we are committed to creating a caring, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential. We understand that families can face difficult circumstances at different times, and we work hard to offer support with kindness, dignity and understanding.
We are proud to work alongside organisations such as FareShare, Dundee Bairns One Parent Families Scotland - Dundee and Rag Bag, helping families to access food, clothing and other essential resources. By building strong relationships with our families and community partners, we aim to reduce barriers, provide practical support and ensure that all children have the best possible start in life. Together, we can make a real difference for children and families in our local community.

It is Challenge Poverty Week (5th to the 11th October) which shines a light on the challenges many families face and encourages us all to help create a fairer, more inclusive Scotland. By showing understanding, reducing stigma and supporting one another, we can all make a difference.
Here is what is happening in Dundee this week:
Throughout the week, local organisations are coming together to raise awareness of poverty, share information about available support, and promote ways to help ensure all children, families and communities can thrive. Activities include information events, advice services and opportunities to learn more about the support available locally.
