It is where it is.... Whitfield is a residential area in the north of Dundee, Scotland to the east of Fintry and north of Douglas.
The area was built in the 1960s to accommodate Dundee's expanding population. A lot of the housing was low rise, deck access flats, innovative for the time, built using the "Skarne" prefabrication system. Come along to our social cafes this December. We will mainly be doing Christmas Crafts at the cafes this month and enjoy hot drinks, Christmas Music, and some winter snacks. The cafes will also act as cosy spaces this winter.

Just a wee reminder that over the duration of the October holidays we will be running an Activate Course, which is a foundation course in Community Learning and Development which has been tailored specifically for young people. We have 12 spaces on this course and are ideally looking for young people in S4 or above with an interest in community work as this is a great starting point for getting into this pathway!
The dates for this in October are as follows:
Monday 11th, Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th.
Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Friday 22nd.
10am - 3pm and this will be based at the 101 Project building on Whitfield drive.
Lunch and training materials are included and there is no cost for young people to take part.
However booking for this is essential.
