We are excited to introduce Melinda Johnson, Non-Executive Director of the British Quality Foundation and GS1UK as our speaker at the much anticipated World Quality Week.
Melinda is also the Chief Operating Officer at Ofgem and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and a Chartered Procurement Professional. Melinda holds an MBA and a BSc Hons in Psychology and has a postgraduate qualification in Marketing and Communications.
With a 17-year career in commercial roles in the broader public and private sectors, Melinda previously led the Health Family Commercial function comprising 20 organisations; she was responsible for six companies owned by the DHSC and sponsored the NHS Business Services Authority.
Melinda is passionate about the Places for Growth agenda, particularly its link to Social Mobility. She championed the DfT Hastings office for five years, created the Government Commercial Northern Hub and was a Head of Place (in the Midlands) for 14 months before moving to Glasgow, where she was part of the leadership team creating and promoting the Cabinet Office 2nd headquarters in Glasgow.

Attention quality enthusiasts! We're thrilled to announce that Arnaldo Costeira, Dean of the Lisbon Business and Government School and Head of External Affairs and Strategic International Partnership at the School of Property (ESAI), will be a keynote speaker at our much anticipated World Quality Week 2023 event!

Arnaldo has over 15 years of experience in higher education and training management, and is a specialist in Strategic Communication, Political Marketing, and Crisis Communication. He has assumed top functions in several institutions such as member and Board of Directors, member at the largest private polytechnic University Institute in Portugal (ISEC Lisboa), in the roles of General Director of Communication and External Relations, Executive Director of the Degree in Local Government and Management and Dean of the School of Communication, Arts and Creative Industries.

As a PhD candidate/researcher in Political Science at ISCSP - University of Lisbon, and former top functionary at several institutions, including the largest private Polytechnic University Institute in Portugal, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Arnaldo has made history by being the only graduate in Portugal with the Certificate in School Mangement and Leadership from Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education and online teaching and learning.
