🎶 Meet the Team at CogniMusica – The Finale 🎶
As we come to the end of our Meet the Team series, it feels only right to introduce the person whose vision started it all – our Founder, Director & Chief Executive Officer, Justyna Skop-Wach. ✨
CogniMusica was born from Justyna’s passion for both music and science, and her belief that music education can be so much more than learning notes and scales. Through her work as a tutor, researcher, and entrepreneur, she has dedicated herself to exploring how singing and instrumental playing can support children’s learning, confidence, wellbeing, and cognitive development.
What makes Justyna special is not only her knowledge and experience, but her genuine care for the children and families she works with. She believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through music, regardless of their background, learning ability, or starting point.
Today, alongside teaching violin, viola, piano, and singing, Justyna continues to lead CogniMusica’s mission of bringing together scientific research, innovation, and high-quality music education to create meaningful learning experiences for young people.
💫 “CogniMusica isn’t just about teaching music – it’s about helping children discover their potential, build confidence, and develop skills that stay with them for life.”
✨ Fun fact: Outside of music and research, Justyna loves board games, travelling, and spending time with her two rabbits (Rosie & Peanut) and tortoise, Leo.

🎶 Meet the Team at CogniMusica 🎶
We’re excited to introduce a new weekly series where you’ll get to know the wonderful people behind CogniMusica! 💫
Every Wednesday, we’ll be shining a spotlight on one of our team members, sharing their story, passion, and what makes them unique.
We’re kicking things off with our newest Piano Tutor… Liza Pleshakova 🎹
Liza brings both musical sensitivity and a truly individual approach to every lesson. Having studied piano for eight years at Simferopol Children’s Music School No. 1 named after S.V. Rachmaninoff, she developed a deep and lasting connection with music from an early age. For her, the piano was not only an instrument but something that shaped her perception of the world, strengthened her sense of beauty, supported her cognitive development, and became a meaningful form of emotional expression.
During her years of study, she regularly performed at concerts and competitions, sang in a choir, and also studied vocals. This broad musical background gave her not only technical knowledge, but also a deeper understanding of musicality, stage confidence, expression, and artistic development.
She is now passionate about sharing this experience with children. Her goal is to make piano engaging, inspiring, and accessible, while providing high-quality teaching that is adapted to each student’s needs.
Currently studying Psychology at the University of Dundee, she is particularly interested in the connection between music, child development, and wellbeing. Having received education in different countries, she brings a broad and well-rounded perspective to teaching, with an understanding that every student learns differently and benefits from a personalised approach.
✨ Fun fact: In her free time, Liza loves travelling, taking photos and videos, dancing salsa and bachata, and swimming in the sea. She danced ballet when she was younger. She is also passionate about learning new languages and hopes to pursue research in social psychology in Latin America.
Stay tuned for next Wednesday to meet another member of our amazing team! 🎶
