We've teamed up with The University of Dundee's Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science and Dundee Sheriff Court to bring you a brand new event - 'The Evidence Chamber'.

A murder has been committed. There’s a suspect but the evidence doesn’t paint a clear picture. How will you, the jury, reach a decision?

This experience asks how we respond to different types of evidence, its presentation and how our preconceptions can affect decisions.

Reachlings, please join me in welcoming Chris Whyte (pictured below!) to the Reach Tayside Project! ⭐

As some of you may know, your current Reach Officer for Medicine and Dentistry, Amy Stewart Reach Tayside , will be heading off on maternity leave at the end of this week (Fri 9 July) to welcome her first baby into the world! She'll be back in 2022 to hear how you are all getting on! 👶

Alastair Stark , who currently leads on the Law strand of the project, is also due to depart at the end of July to embark on a new venture, studying at university in St. Andrews! 📚

But don't worry! Chris is here to fill the Reach shoes, and to give you all the support you need moving forward with your journeys to Medicine, Dentistry and Law. We are so excited to have him join the team, and know that you are in very safe hands moving forward with your applications! 💪😊

For Reach Tayside pupils who are either moving into S6 after the summer & are planning to apply for Medicine or Dentistry for 2022 entry, or for those who are taking a gap year and reapplying for 2022 entry - PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS! 📧


We have been in touch with you directly to start the process of arranging our bespoke UCAT Tutoring, which takes place over the course of 7 weeks from late June - early August. 🗓


These sessions are completely FREE & I cannot stress how important they are in helping you to prepare for this part of your application.


Our tutors are current medical & dental students, who have extensive experience in tutoring pupils for the UCAT. All sessions will take place online & we are in the process of arranging small groups to meet with an assigned tutor on a weekly basis for 7 consecutive weeks.


At each session, you’ll take time to delve into each section of the test in detail, do practice questions as a group and gain invaluable tips and guidance from your tutor. 🙌

We also have Practice Question books available to loan to pupils who are signed up for tutoring - again, please check your emails and get in touch with us about this! 📚

After graduating from the University of Dundee, these inspiring individuals have gone on to achieve amazing things, and at these bespoke sessions they will share with you their journey through university and the story of their career. ⭐

With plenty of opportunity to ask questions, these sessions will be interactive, hugely insightful and will give you a greater understanding of the wide variety of careers open to you as future graduates!

You'll also gain a deeper insight into some of the associated professions for your chosen subject area - something which will be really important to demonstrate in your applications later! 👀💪

We are so excited to announce the launch of our Summer programme for 2021! 🙌🥳🤩

We’ve been working hard to create a number of virtual events designed to give you greater insight into Medicine, Dentistry and Law, and to help you deepen your understanding of what it’s like to study these subjects at university!

As well as our annual Explore events for each of our three subjects, we also have our UCAT Preparation session, TV Clubs for Medicine and Dentistry, and our Personal Statement Masterclass session for Medicine & Dentistry too! 💪

All of our sessions will take place online for the time being – but have been specially tailored to ensure they are interactive, engaging and super informative!

The session is designed to offer advice and guidance to you, no matter what situation you are in;

• Whether you have an offer for Medicine or Dentistry
• or if you are thinking of taking a year out and reapplying for 2022 entry
• or if you are thinking about accepting a place for an alternative course at university and revisiting Medicine or Dentistry later down the line…

… this event will be really useful for you.

We will have tips and advice for all the above scenarios, and current medical and dental students on hand to share their own experiences of moving from school to university, gap years, alternative first degrees and more! 🤩🙌

Check out this new medical publication from the Dundee Medical Journalism Society, 'The Gannochy'.

The Dundee Medical Journalism Society exists to encourage writing, reflection and quality journalism in the medical community, and they aim to do this within the medical school through a series of masterclasses, an interactive online blog and through their semesterly publication of The Gannochy. 🤩

The Spring issue covers everything from the COVID pandemic and first-hand accounts of working through this, to mental health, to emergency care in Zimbabwe, to research in Medicine, to neurosurgery, to book reviews - the list goes on! You can download a PDF version of this issue via link below! 🙌
