It means so much to hear that your children feel happy, safe, and valued in my care—your kind words remind me why I love what I do every day.❤️

We explored a range of Easter-themed activities, including rolling painted eggs down gutters, engaging in creative paint egg printing, and enjoying a fun, interactive Easter bingo game that supported turn-taking, listening skills, and festive excitement.

Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny , two a penny hot cross buns!"

Exploring the taste of warm hot cross buns through sensory play, we rolled, pressed and shaped our own ‘Easter buns’ in playdough using sticks to mark the crosses, bringing role play baking to life through hands-on imagination and discovery.”

This simple activity (using cauldrons and threading feathers to create Easter-themed chicks) supports several key learning and development benefits:

It strengthens fine motor skills as children carefully thread and place feathers, improving hand-eye coordination and finger control. It also encourages concentration and patience, as children need to focus on each step of the process.

The activity supports sensory exploration through different textures like soft feathers and tactile materials, helping children engage their senses in a calm and meaningful way.

It promotes creativity and imagination, allowing children to design their own Easter chicks and make individual choices in how they build and decorate them.

Social and communication skills are also supported when children work alongside others, share materials, and talk about what they are creating.

Overall, it offers a rich, hands-on learning experience that builds confidence, independence, and early developmental skills in a fun, seasonal context.
