One of the things that caught my eye while we were in MĂĄlaga were the new sculptures at the entrance to the port.
Neptune, god of the sea, and Venus, goddess of love, beauty and fertility, stand as if guarding the Mediterranean, alongside two magnificent lions.

I was immediately drawn to Venus. I didn't know anything about her when I first saw her ... there was just something about her that drew me in.

She holds a golden sphere representing the sun
then I discovered what she represents...

Love. Beauty. Fertility. The feminine. The sea. The sun.

It stopped me in my tracks a little bit
Because perhaps the most beautiful part is that I was drawn to her before I knew why.

After the years I've spent working with women, fertility, hormones, the feminine and the natural rhythms of the body, I couldn't help but smile when I realised what I'd instinctively been drawn towards.

Maybe that's what alignment feels like.

You don't always have to consciously seek something out.

Sometimes, you simply find yourself standing exactly where you're meant to be❤️

I am very proud to be a Reproductive Reflexologist, and a member of The Association of Reproductive Reflexologists. Here is a wee bit more about what we do 🌿✨

In addition to enhancing fertility by working with your own body’s mechanisms, Reproflexology™ has several physical and mental health and wellbeing benefits.

Couples who experience difficulties conceiving naturally often reach a point where they feel stressed, tense, anxious and exhausted. Reflexology is a relaxing, non-invasive complementary therapy, frequently found to reduce stress, alleviate pain and reduce symptoms associated with some reproductive health conditions.

Reproductive reflexology may help to regulate a woman’s menstrual cycle and reduce the pain and symptoms of PMS. Overall, it can leave you feeling calmer, more balanced and more able to sleep.

This is what our members learn about as part of their Reproflexology™ course work. It's not just the fertility enhancements it's working with the whole person, for both parents.

There are some experiences you know you’ll remember forever… and tonight was definitely one of them.

Out at sea off the coast of Málaga on a catamaran, Prosecco in hand, waiting for the solar eclipse. At first it felt like a celebration with music, laughter, sunshine and that holiday feeling. 🥂

And then everything changed.

The light began to fade. The temperature dropped. The sea went strangely still and quiet. It became almost eerie… like nature itself knew something extraordinary was happening.

And then, as if on cue, the fish started surfacing around us.

I honestly don’t think any of us quite knew what we were witnessing.

Standing out there in the middle of the sea, watching the sky change and feeling the world around us become so incredibly still was just… unbelievable.

Nature has a way of reminding us how small we are — and how extraordinary this planet is.

Tonight wasn’t just something I saw.

It was something I felt.

An absolutely magical, unforgettable experience. ✨🌊🌑

Yesterday we explored two of Andalucía’s most extraordinary places, Setenil de las Bodegas and Ronda. Knowing a little of their history makes the visit there even more incredible.

Setenil de las Bodegas is a town built into the rock.

Rather than fighting the landscape, people adapted to it. Houses were built beneath enormous rock overhangs, creating natural insulation … cool in the heat of summer and warmer in winter. They created a face for the front of the house or shop, with only excavated rock behind it.

The town has ancient roots, its strategic position became particularly important during the period of Muslim rule in Spain. Christian forces eventually captured Setenil in 1484, after several failed attempts.

Then on to Ronda…

Ronda sits dramatically above the Tajo gorge, carved through the landscape by the Guadalevín River. What looks today like one of Spain’s most spectacular views was once a natural defence system.

The old town grew under Muslim rule and became an important frontier settlement of Al-Andalus. You can still see those layers today … the narrow winding streets, ancient walls, Arab Baths, water systems and remnants of the old Islamic city.

Ronda was conquered by the Catholic Monarchs in 1485, just one year after Setenil.

then there is the bridge…

Puente Nuevo was built in the 18th century to finally connect the old city with the newer part of Ronda, spanning that enormous gorge.

It is easy to stand there and simply think, “Wow.”

But underneath that view is centuries of history.

Romans.
Moors.
Christian conquest.
Fortresses.
Bridges.
Bullfighting.
Bandoleros ( bandits)
Artists, writers and travellers who came to AndalucĂa and fell in love with its landscape.

Both places were shaped by nature.

Setenil worked with the rock.

Ronda was built around the gorge.

The river carved the landscape, and people adapted themselves to it.

Nature has been teaching us all along.

We don’t have to force things.
We don’t always have to control the path.
Sometimes we need to understand what is already there, work with it, and find our way through.

A beautiful day exploring a beautiful part of Andalucía, and a reminder that sometimes when we slow down enough to look, there is so much more to learn than what we see 🌿

I was up early this morning, out walking - just as the world was beginning to wake, and caught the sunrise as it appeared.

There’s something about watching the sky change, the light appearing slowly, and knowing that somewhere along the way darkness always gives way to light.

And in what can sometimes feel like a topsy-turvy world right now, there was something very grounding about it.

The sun just rose.

No drama.
No rush
No trying to control what comes next.

Just doing what nature does.

It felt meaningful this morning.

A little reminder of hope.

Of new beginnings.

Of not always needing to know what’s around the next corner.

as someone who practices Reiki, I couldn’t help but think about the energy too, how it moves, how it changes and shifts, and how sometimes we need to stop trying to force things and simply allow.

Nature has a funny way of teaching us these things without saying a word.

This morning I just watched quietly for a while a

And felt hopeful.

Sometimes, in a topsy-turvy world, maybe that’s enough.

Today I visited The "Stupa of Enlightenment"

My Reiki Master had told me about it, and ever since, I'd wanted to come and see it for myself.
So today felt like a mini pilgrimage.

I'd read about stupa's and what they represent, but I don't think you can really understand the feeling of being there until you actually stand in front of one, and enter the space inside

A stupa is a sacred Buddhist structure representing the enlightened mind ... wisdom, compassion, peace and the journey towards awakening.

This one has been built following ancient Buddhist traditions, with every part of its structure carrying meaning. It's not simply something beautiful to look at. It is a place for contemplation, meditation and turning inward.

And I did.

The energy was tangible.

I walked around it slowly in contemplation, meditation, clockwise, several times - as is traditional, and something happened that | really didn't expect.

I became incredibly emotional.
I've been feeling that emotion since.

I found myself voicing things I perhaps hadn't realised I needed to say.

Thoughts, feelings, things I've been carrying. And as I walked, I found myself quietly shedding a tear.

No drama
No noise
No force

Just a quiet release.

perhaps that's what struck me most.

As a Reiki Master myself, I'm very aware of energy, of how much we hold in our bodies and how sometimes, when we create the right space, things simply begin to move.

We don't always have to understand it.
We don't always have to fix it.
Sometimes we just need to allow it.

The whole experience felt deeply connected to what Reiki means to me ... creating space for stillness, for connection, for energy to flow and for whatever needs to come forward to be acknowledged.

I came here because my own Reiki Master told me about this place, and I felt drawn to it

| left feeling like something had shifted.

I don't know that I quite have the words for it yet.

And maybe I don't need to.

The only thing we can ever know for certain is that things will change.

Nature has always been our greatest teacher.

Watch a river for a while and you’ll notice something remarkable. It doesn’t force its way through every obstacle. It doesn’t fight every bend.

It flows.

It finds another path. It slows, it gathers strength, it meanders, it rushes… but it never stops moving.

Many ancient cultures looked to rivers as a reminder of life itself. To resist every current is exhausting. To trust the flow requires courage.

Anxiety often has us swimming against the current.

It asks us to control every outcome, predict every possibility and hold tightly to certainty in an uncertain world. The harder we grip, the more exhausted our minds and bodies become.

Our bodies hold our stories. Every experience leaves its imprint, and sometimes what we’re feeling today isn’t just about today. It’s the accumulation of everything we’ve carried for far too long.

Perhaps healing isn’t about pushing harder or trying to control more.

Perhaps it’s about softening.

Listening.

Creating space.

Allowing ourselves to be held.

This is why I believe so deeply in the power of reflexology, Reiki and holistic therapies. They offer us the opportunity to pause, reconnect with ourselves and gently support the body as it begins to release what it no longer needs to carry.

The river reminds us that life is always moving.

Nothing stays the same.

Not the difficult seasons.
Not the joy.
Not the pain.

The only certainty is change.

And perhaps there is peace in learning that we don’t always have to fight the current.
we can trust that, in time, it will carry us where we need to be. 💚

August has always held a special place in my heart.

It’s the height of summer, when the countryside glows with golden fields of wheat. I love to watch the gentle sway and ripple of the fields in the breeze, like ripples on a golden sea. There’s something so calming about standing still and watching nature move.

For many families, August can bring a mixture of excitement and nerves as little ones prepare for their very first day of school or get ready for a new school year. New beginnings, new friendships, and new adventures.

For me, August is a reminder to slow down, step back and breathe

After months of caring for others, working, building my business and juggling life, it’s time to pause, rest and recharge my batteries.
Rest isn’t a luxury it’s an essential part of wellbeing. We can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.

So over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be a little quieter as I take some much-needed time to reset, enjoy the last of summer, and come back refreshed for the months ahead.

I hope you find a little time this August to breathe deeply, soak up some sunshine, and appreciate the quiet moments. They often turn out to be the ones we remember most. 🌾☀️💛

I shared a quote with someone this morning . One of those ones that doesn’t sound like much until you unpack it a little …

So, I’m sharing it here too, as a little reminder and for anyone that needs it today …

“Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.”

Strength isn’t something you’re born with … it’s something you build.

It’s found in the moments you wanted to give up but kept going. In the days you got out of bed when your heart felt heavy. In the setbacks that taught you resilience, the challenges that stretched you, and the fears you faced despite feeling uncertain.

Often, we don’t realise how strong we are until we look back and see just how far we’ve come.

Whatever challenge you’re facing today, remember this: every small step forward is proof that you’re stronger than you think. Keep going. One day, what feels impossible now may become the very thing you’re proudest of overcoming.

💛 Be kind to yourself. Growth isn’t always loud … sometimes it’s simply refusing to give up.

You’ve got this ✨

I’m seeking another committed individual for a naturopathic nutrition case study.

✨Your health story acknowledged and understood … sometimes simply being heard is healing in itself

✨A healing plan formulated by me (naturopathic nutritional therapist in training) … please note: at this stage, this is for insight only as part of my training.

✨An opportunity to reflect on patterns in your health and lifestyle, for you to take those on board making any changes which could be beneficial to your health and wellbeing as you wish.
