Fun times!

Rainy one yesterday.

2 miles of stairs. Certainly didn't feel safe enough to do what was needed to sky rocket the ticker ðŸŦ€

Still wanted to finish the 5k so pottered out a very wet footed 1.14 along riverside.

Then the inner Stoo 👀 said "F**k it!"
Let's blast out a mile backwards!
What better a day than a rainy one?
Less folks to potentially wipe out.

Once you get going a decent clip backwards, and fully trust in the spatial information the last backwards glance provided you with, it really feels like your some kind of animal.

With practice you can 100% outrun some normal forwards runners.

It went well! However, that time is needin' smashed!

Surprisingly, my legs aren't sore at all today..

5ks, 10ks, stairs, hills, sprints, and backwards running.. yes BACKWARDS running ðŸĪŠ
My Hexagon on pain.

Outside of the usual gruelling pads, bag and clinch sessions, which of course get my HR up there some.. there's something about running with real intent to almost die.. an intangible sense of self.
You really have no choice, whatsoever, to be incredibly present and aware of your own self induced (although temporary, and incredibly beneficial) suffering. Much like a fight!

Before moving to Dundee, I'd vist, my now wife here. On my days off, whilst she was at work, I'd attempt to murder myself, hours at a time in these stairs.. good times ⚰ïļ

âĪïļ Cannot get enough of em once I get going â™Ĩïļ

Also.. if you have yet to smash a continuously backwards 5k, 100% uphill, you're missin' out!
