There's an organising meeting happening today at Capone's on Nethergate at 11:30am!! This is to discuss next steps for the pensions action. Please come if you're able!!!

We've had quite a lot of interest in the zine that hasn't been followed up! If you're thinking of submitting something but haven't been able to make the deadline can you please DM us and we can work something out! Your fellow students need to hear your voice!!

The date for submitting something for our zine is 29th May. We'd like to stress that this does not have to be a final piece and can even just be an idea you've got in mind. Feel free to get in touch if you want any more information or just want to chat about your idea!

Yesterday we were at the demo for Palestine! Somebody actually sent us an email asking what this has to do with the group as we're, essentially, for helping students with their issues and I thought this was a really good question. This is what we said in response:
Of course the Pro-Palestine Rally isn't directly related to issues facing students. However, we think it is important to show solidarity with other movements in the city and elsewhere. This is partly because our oppressors, i.e. the elite classes, are also oppressing Palestinians. This is especially since the university is complicit with the situation by investing in companies which provide arms to Israel. It is also so that, in future, other movements will hopefully show solidarity with us. If you have any further questions about this please always feel free to get in touch!
