Thinking of all our Old Biltonians as they receive their GCSE results today. We are proud of you all here at BG.

Congratulations to current Rugby School student and Music Scholar, Jonathan, on reaching the semi-final of the Junior category in BBC Songs of Praise Chorister of the Year.

Jonathan, who previously attended Bilton Grange Prep School , is one of two Rugby School students to have secured a place in the semi-finals, highlighting the exceptional musical talent within the School.

We wish him every success as he prepares for the semi-final, which will be broadcast later this year.

We enjoyed an excellent game of cricket and an equally good tea in the Carr Pavilion earlier this month - - when a Biltionian XI took on the BG Faders. There were a few selection headaches, as certain players felt a loyalty to both sides.

Inspired by the match, one of the Biltonians was minded to rummage through his scrap book to find the article attached. This month's OB victory versus the BG Faders was enjoyable, but any win against Dragon School will have been well-earned, and even more enjoyable.

Q. What could be better than a book signing at OB Day?
A. Two book signings!

We are delighted to confirm that, in addition to Robin Mitchell and Nick Bagshawe's availability at OB Day on 6 June to sign copies of 'Bilton Grange Memories 1963-69', Charlie Robards, captain of the Bitonian XI, will be signing copies of his book, 'Hitting AS for Six: Living with axial SpA', at our fixture vs Faders on the afternoon of 7 June.

See you there! A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

The book launch back in March of ‘Memories of Bilton Grange 1963-69’ by Robin Mitchell with Nick Bagshawe was such a lovely occasion.

We are delighted to say that Robin and Nick will be at OB Day on Saturday 6 June to sign copies fresh off the press from the third print run. Do join us there for coffee, Chapel, AGM, lunch on the lawn and the chance to watch cricket and/or play nine holes of coarse golf!

Lovely to see Old Buckenham Hall having made the journey to train with their Bilton Grange counterparts on Friday under Rugby School Director of Cricket Michael Powell and then to play an entertaining cricket match on Saturday. It was also nice to see the new electronic scoreboard in action, partly sponsored by the Bilton Grange Society. These co-curricular opportunities for children at the prep schools within the Rugby School Group are highly beneficial.
