The wellbeing and development of each child is at the heart of what we do. We aim to create a rich and diverse environment, supporting each child’s development through a play based approach, providing a wide variety of play experiences indoors and out. Resources offer opportunities for creative, imaginative and challenging play experiences. Children regularly enjoy baking, gardening, sewing, crafting and exploring clay.

Caring for, understanding and enjoying our natural environment is an important part of our ethos. Led by our trained Forest School Leader, we visit our local woodland every week for forest kindergarten where children can participate in extended, rich experiences in the natural environment. Regular visits and outings in our local community are also core to children knowing, caring for and being part of their local community.

Our nursery is open to all across Stirling Council area and beyond. We welcome new applications throughout the year.

For more information, to arrange a visit or to enrol your child, please contact the school office:

Thank you to WAGS PET GROCER today. We visited the shop because we needed to buy some birdseed for the nursery garden.

Holmehill Wooden Wildlife Trail (Sat 13th May)

Follow our wooden wildlife trail between the two Dunblane EcoFest venues. Leave St Mary’s Church past the primary school, turn right up Smithy Loan, and then left to enter the woods just before the junction with Perth Road. Follow the main path on a short walk through Holmehill woods to the Braeport Centre. On the way find 8 wooden animals designed by St Mary’s Primary School pupils. Huge thanks to Creative Dunblane volunteers for bringing the designs to life.

Each wooden animal has a letter painted on the back, which when rearranged will give the name of a common animal found in Dunblane. The first 50 people to tell us the correct animal will get a small wooden ‘cookie’ to decorate at the Braeport Centre (open from midday).

To help you on your way this is what the first sign looks like. It will be near the entrance to the woods just off Smithy Loan.
