Here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to recently!

The children have been busy learning and having fun through lots of different activities. We’ve been practising our colours and working on matching games, as well as enjoying turn-taking games to help build patience and teamwork.

We’ve also been making the most of the outdoors with trips to the park and lovely walks, along with some energetic play at soft play.

To get ready for Mother’s Day, the children have been getting creative with some special arts and crafts. They’ve loved making their butterfly footprints! 🌸🎨

We’ve had such an amazing couple of weeks here at our setting! 🌿✨

The children have been busy learning and exploring in so many wonderful ways – from exciting trips to the garden centre, discovering different plants and talking about how things grow, to adventurous train journeys where we practised road and rail safety and spoke about the world around us.

One of our highlights has to be toasting marshmallows in the forest 🔥🌲 Sharing stories, developing confidence, and enjoying the great outdoors together has created some very special memories. These experiences have supported our communication skills, understanding of the world, and personal, social and emotional development – all while having lots of fun!

We’re now really looking forward to the spring weather and all the new learning opportunities it will bring – more outdoor adventures, nature discoveries, and plenty of fresh air and exploration.

Today was our last day of fun and adventure with Kelly, and it’s hard to put into words how much she will be missed. She has been such a kind, caring, and wonderful childminder, and the love and dedication she’s given to the children has meant so much to us all. She will be missed not only by her minded children and their families, but by us too.

Thank you, Kelly, for all the special memories, laughter, and care you’ve shared. We will miss you more than you know, and we wish you every happiness and success on your new adventure. ❤️

January has been a lovely (though very loooonnnnggg!) month. We’ve been busy staying active with Let’s Get Sporty, enjoying trips to the park and library, baking up tasty treats, and exploring the icy winter weather. So many smiles, learning moments, and fun experiences to start the year!
Looking forward to what February brings!

Parent/carers will receive a letter and registration form for children due to start funded Early Learning Childcare (ELC) in academic year August 2026 to July 2027.
Parent/carers of children who already attend funded ELC will be contacted by their current provider.

As we come to the end of another year, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful children and families I’ve had the pleasure of caring for. Watching the children grow, learn, laugh, and become more confident has been such a joy, and I’m so proud of everything they’ve achieved.

Thank you to the parents for your trust, support, and kindness throughout the year — it truly means the world to me. Being part of your child’s journey is a privilege I never take for granted.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and restful end of year, and I look forward to creating many more special memories together in the year ahead 💫

From frosty winter walks at Hoddom Castle and lots of park fun, to an adventure to Moffat for more playtime and feeding the ducks — what a week! We raced, jumped and laughed at Let’s Get Sporty, explored and played at Farmer’s Den, and finished with big smiles at Tiny Town. Christmas is almost here and the excitement is growing! 🎅🎄xx

✨ The past few weeks have been full of sunshine, smiles, and new little faces! Our newest children are settling in beautifully, and we’ve been soaking up the gorgeous weather with adventures, laughter, and plenty of fun with friends. 🌞👫🌿
