Lizzie's Childminding Service I'm a registered childminder who provides mainly outdoor/nature based experiences 😊

My objective is to provide a range of activities that will keep the children interested and stimulated, but also keep a routine that will become familiar to the children. I aim to provide activities such as art and crafts, story telling and nursery rhymes, creative and imaginative play, indoor and outdoor play. I will adjust planned activities according to the age and interests of each child and will encourage and praise to help build their confidence and self esteem. I will communicate clearly with parents and carers, in advance of the child's first day, to find out their interests, what comforts them, so that I can make the move from home to a child minding environment as natural as possible. I understand how difficult it can be for parents to leave their child with a childminder and return to work. I will therefore work with you to ensure your child is settled and that you are happy with the care I am to provide.

Last wk we read a story about a reindeer which then led to our adventure today. We set off with bags of carrots and headed to the galloway forest to visit the deer 🦌 😀 ❤️
The faces of glee and awe when feeding the deer and how close the children were able to be whilst staying safe was one of the reasons I love my job.
We even got to see some wee fawns still with their spots 😍
We then stopped off at clatteringshaws for a picnic. The sun even made an appearance 😊

We have been enjoying exploring Arbigland House and Gardens where we danced with the dragon flies and had a picnic on the beach. We have also been foraging for brambles where we had big plans for but they didn't make it home 🙄🤣 we also visited Gracefield Arts Centre again to see the A dogs life exhibition ❤️

Terrific Twos Entitlement - have you discovered the big benefits of Early Learning and Childcare?

The really good bit is around a quarter of 2 year olds are entitled to up to 1140 hours of subsidised childcare.

This is free to you, funded by the Scottish Government and local authorities like us. That works out at about 30 hours a week if you use it during school term-time, or around 22 hours a week if you use it all year round. Another fantastic day Arbigland House and Gardens ❤️
This time we started doing the kids trail where you find boxes and find answers to clues to get a number for the end boxes code. Unfortunately we got side tracked with the beach and sea so will need to return to finish it (not that we need an excuse) 😉🤣🥰
