🎭 If you're aged 14–25 and keen to perform, create, or get involved behind the scenes…

🎬 And if you want to be part of this year’s Youth Beatz 2026 production of The Toon, this is your chance.

📅 Running across both weeks of the Easter school holidays:
Week 1: Monday 30 March – Thursday 2 April
Week 2: Tuesday 7 April – Friday 10 April

It’s been another busy day at Park Farm for 👍

We were delighted to be joined by pupils from St Joseph’s College, colleagues from a range of local partners and young people attending the Event - part of the Youth Beatz Fringe Festival for Tours today. 🎧

Keep an eye on social media for information on where to go onsite YouthBeatz Dumfries to sign up for a Tour if you’re coming along on Saturday or Sunday! 🎪

The Toon is back for 2025!!! 🙌

After months of hard work, kicked off performances of to VIP's ahead of this weekend! 🤩

We were delighted to have partners join us from Young Carers, LGBT Youth Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Police Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Council Colleagues as well as young volunteers friends and family. 🤝

The Toon will be running from 12.30pm until 6pm on the days of YouthBeatz Dumfries so if you are coming along this weekend be sure to pop by the tent! 🎪

⭐️ We are delighted that our Council’s Youth Work Team won ‘UK Local Government Team of the Year’ at the Local Government Awards in London last night ⭐️

The nomination was focussed on the Volunteers and Youth Workers involved with delivering the Youth Beatz Festival, and our Community Based Youth Work. The award is for the excellent work our Youth Workers and Volunteers are delivering in Communities every day that is making a significant impact on young people and communities as well as the significant achievement in delivering Youth Beatz and The Toon- we should be proud of the team for delivering the largest youth event in the UK for our young people in Dumfries and Galloway.

The awards were attended by some of our volunteers, frontline staff and Councillor Maureen Johnstone, Chairperson of Education, Skills and Community Wellbeing Committee.

Team Toon are really proud to be at UK Local Government Chronicle Awards 2025 for the hard work of the volunteers and frontline staff at Youth Work D&G.
To be a finalist is a great testament to the work they do every day in communities across Dumfries and Galloway.

The Volunteers and Youth Work Staff involved with Youth Beatz Festival have been shortlisted as a Finalist in the LGC Awards in the category of ‘Large Team of the Year’. These awards recognise and celebrate excellence in Local Government across the UK. For our Volunteers and Youth Workers to be shortlisted as a finalist from across the UK is testament to the hard work and commitment they give to putting on the festival for our regions young people Work
