Be honest…

How much from your first phase could you confidently explain right now?

Because the challenge isn’t learning it the first time.

It’s remembering it when it matters.

The Virtual Learning Platform gives you:

📘 Clear notes across the full syllabus
🎥 Step-by-step video explanations
🧠 A way to revisit topics you haven’t looked at in months

So instead of thinking…

“I remember this… kind of…”

You can actually say it with confidence.

Perfect for refreshing before exams — and essential before orals.

Message ‘REFRESH’ if you want access.

Most cadets think of their studies in phases.

Phase 1. Phase 3. Phase 5.

But your orals?

They cover everything.

That’s where people get caught out.

Things you learned months (or years) ago… suddenly matter again.

That’s exactly why the Virtual Learning Platform exists.

It’s not just for one phase.

It’s there to support you:

⚓ From your first phase at college
📘 Through your HNC / HND exams
🧠 Right through to preparing for your orals

So when it’s time to revise…

You’re not starting from scratch.

You’re refreshing, reinforcing, and building confidence.

If you want one place that supports your whole journey, the SafeSeas Training platform is here to support you.

This is what you’ll hear in the exam.

A question.

Out loud.

No pause button.

No time to overthink.

The Virtual Examiner lets you practise exactly that:

🎤 Listen to the question
🗣️ Say your answer out loud
📘 Check it against a model answer

No pressure. No audience.

Just a way to build confidence before the real thing.

If you want to get more comfortable speaking out loud…

Comment ‘EXAMINER’ and I’ll send you the details.

If your orals were next week… would you feel ready?

If the answer is no, here’s where to start:

📖 Not confident with your answers? → Part B
🎤 Not comfortable speaking? → Virtual Examiner
🧭 Not ready for pressure? → Mock Orals

Simple.

Structured.

Effective.

That’s how you prepare properly.

Comment ‘PLAN’ and I’ll help you map it out.

Ever read something and thought…

“Yeah I know that…”

Then try to say it out loud and suddenly… nothing comes out?

That’s the difference between:

Knowing it
And being able to explain it

That’s why your prep needs to include:

📖 Practising questions
🎤 Speaking answers out loud
🧭 Simulating exam conditions

That’s exactly what these are designed to help with:

Part B
Virtual Examiner
Mock Orals

Because the exam isn’t written.

It’s spoken.

Message ‘SPEAK’ if that’s what you need to work on.

Your Certificate of Competency doesn’t start on exam day.

It starts with how you prepare.

The strongest candidates don’t just revise…

They follow a process:

📘 Learn the format (Part A)
📖 Build knowledge (Part 😎
🎤 Practise delivery (Virtual Examiner)
🧭 Test yourself (Mock Orals)

Each step builds on the last.

Each step builds confidence.

Each step moves you closer to passing.

If your orals are coming up this year…

Now is the time to start.

Comment ‘COC’ and I’ll help you plan it.

Passing an oral exam isn’t always just about technical knowledge.

Sometimes it’s about rebuilding confidence.

Sometimes it’s about learning to trust what you already know.

And sometimes it’s about having someone help you stop “digging a hole” in your answers and start communicating clearly.

This feedback means a lot because it reflects something I care deeply about — helping candidates not only strengthen their knowledge, but rebuild confidence in their delivery, particularly when nerves or past experiences have knocked that confidence.

I’m especially passionate about helping women in maritime who may have had challenging experiences in training or at sea and need support finding their confidence again.

Here’s what this candidate had to say after our prep sessions.

We have some availability left for May. If you’d like a one off mock, or help working towards getting a pass, then please feel free to contact us to discuss.
