Second day of our autumn term and we have chosen 'Mo's smelly jumper' as our book of the month.
The children are settling in nicely finding familiar and new resources. Some have found there inner Elton John or as they say 'Jonny from sing' playing a donated piano. 🎹

Yesterday the children and Aunties enjoyed there visit from Mr TInsel. The children joined in and laughed throughout. They were all treated to a balloon swan, sword or dog and some children even helped Mr Tinsel. A magical morning was had by all.

Our book of the month for July is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar's 🐛➡️🦋. Following the theme using many resources and crafts and watching our real life caterpillars turn into butterflies before releasing them.

This week we have had a special delivery.

Our caterpillars have arrived and over the next few weeks the children will watch them grow, change and develop into butterflies before we release them.
This aligns with one of our favourite books 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.'
This will help the children develop an understanding of growth, decay and changes over time.

Monday 8th June was Ocean Day.
The children have made a cardboard tube octopus, before they coloured in their choice of sea animals and made scales on a fish using their fingerprints for our window display 🌊🐚🐠🦑🦀🐢🐡.
The children have also been playing a fishing game and played with the sea animals in the small world area.
Our book of the month for June is Jolly Olly Octopus 🐙.

Last week a child had put in their home school book that their favourite book is 'The Paper Dolls' by Julia Donaldson.
Their parent very kindly gave us some cardboard cut outs and the children enjoyed decorating their own paper doll before adding it onto the display making our own paper doll chain.
