Bridging the Gap at Tameside College 🤝

Today Katie and Sarah represented Kids Zone Nursery Group at the Bridging the Gap event at Tameside College.

The event brings together employers from the Early Years, Teaching, and Health & Social Care sectors with students who are currently studying in these areas. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to speak directly with employers, learn more about career pathways, and gain valuable insight into what skills and qualities employers are looking for.

Events like this help inspire the next generation of Early Years professionals, supporting students as they take their first steps into careers that make such a positive difference to children and families.

Amazing effort from all at Train Station Day Nursery 👏

🌟 Supporting Our Community 🌟
We are incredibly proud of the children, families and staff at Train Station who have raised an amazing £1,380 for Bury Hospice while taking part in lots of fun Easter activities! 🐣💛

Bury Hospice provides invaluable care and support for people in our community living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as offering comfort and support to their families during incredibly difficult times. Their work makes a huge difference to so many local families.

Thanks to everyone who took part, donated and supported our fundraising efforts. When added to the £1,819 raised last year, we have now raised a fantastic £3,199 in total for Bury Hospice!

We are so proud to support such an important local charity. 💛

Our management teams were set several additional tasks to complete this term, and with the support of Katie from Head Office, the Boat House management team were the first to get them all done!

Several of our dedicated staff from across our settings took part in their Paediatric First Aid training. This essential training ensures our teams have the most up-to-date knowledge and confidence to respond safely and correctly in any situation.

💼 Job Type: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities:
* Working within our teams to ensure good standards of practice.
* Ensure that all children attending the nursery are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
* Observe support and extend children’s learning experiences and development.
* Appropriately plan individual learning experiences for children under the nursery curriculum.
* Build and maintain effective partnerships with parents.

Essential:
* Enthusiastic team players.
* Good communication skills.
* Genuine passion to work with young children.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of children's development and their needs.
* A willingness to learn and a focus to develop yourself to a higher level, anyone who is interested in, childcare, teaching, social care or looking to make something of themselves in the future, this role will suit you.

Requirements:
* Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualified in a UK early years qualification.
* Minimum 1 years experience.
