Silver 26 Qualifying Expedition πŸ₯Ύβ›°οΈ

A huge well done to all of our students who have taken part in the Silver 26 Qualifying Expedition.

They have shown incredible determination, resilience, teamwork, and independence whilst navigating challenging routes, carrying all of their equipment, and supporting one another throughout the expedition. The positive attitude and commitment they have demonstrated has been fantastic to see.

We are immensely proud of everything they have achieved and the way they have represented themselves and our school. Their hard work, perseverance, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones have been truly inspiring.

Congratulations to every student who took part – you should be extremely proud of yourselves. We can't wait to hear about your experiences and celebrate your achievements! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

As temperatures rise, we would like to remind our community about the importance of staying safe around water.

We are proud to support the RNLI’s campaign, helping young people understand what to do if they get into trouble in open water.

Remember:
🌊 Don’t panic
🌊 Float on your back
🌊 Keep calm and control your breathing
🌊 Call for help or continue floating until help arrives

Many accidental drownings happen because of cold water shock, even during warm weather. Please help us spread this important message by talking to your child and sharing this post.

πŸŽ‰ Huge congratulations to Rydell on an incredible achievement! ⚽

In December, Rydell was awarded a prestigious 2-year Scholarship with Accrington Stanley, who currently compete in EFL League Two. More recently, he officially signed his Scholarship contract at the Wham Stadium alongside First Team Captain Seamus Conneely – a moment to be immensely proud of!

From June, Rydell will begin training with the first team throughout the summer, taking another exciting step forward in his football journey. With his dedication, hard work and commitment to the game over the years, this opportunity is thoroughly deserved.

Everyone at Rayner Stephens would like to wish Rydell every success as he embarks on this next chapter. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the Accrington Stanley team sheet in the years ahead and hope to see him making first-team appearances – and maybe even playing live on TV!

Well done, Rydell. We're all incredibly proud of you and wish you the very best for the future! πŸ‘βš½β

As the warmer weather continues, we are supporting the RNLI’s important campaign to help keep our young people safe around water.

Open water such as rivers, canals, lakes and reservoirs can be extremely dangerous – even on hot days. Cold water shock, hidden currents and difficulty getting out of the water can quickly put lives at risk.

If you find yourself struggling in the water:
πŸ’§ Tilt your head back with ears submerged
πŸ’§ Relax and control your breathing
πŸ’§ Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat
πŸ’§ Your legs may sink – that’s OK, everyone floats differently

Please take a few minutes to talk to your child about water safety and share this lifesaving advice with family and friends.
