🌟 Celebrating our amazing nursery team! 🌟

During our Spring Term team building, we enjoyed some fun activities together, including emoji quizzes in pairs and creating our very own nursery rhyme raps! Lots of positive praise 🎶😊

Team bonding is so important as it helps to build strong relationships, improve communication, boost confidence and create a positive working environment. Spending time together outside of our usual routines helps us to support each other, strengthen our teamwork and keep morale high. A happy, connected team means we can continue to provide the best care, learning experiences and support for our children and families. 💛

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff — you all do an amazing job every single day. Your dedication, creativity and commitment make our nursery such a special place. We have had some lovely achievements to celebrate, and we are so proud of everyone. 🌈

What we have been enjoying at nursery… 🌈
The children have been making the most of all types of weather recently! From splashing in puddles wearing our wellies 🌧️ to enjoying the sunshine in our sun hats ☀️, we have loved exploring the outdoors in every season.
We have enjoyed lots of exciting water play, developing our creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork, as well as plenty of floor-based play where children have been able to explore, build, create and use their imaginations.
Our story times have been full of wonder too, We have been enjoying traditional stories, bringing them to life through role play, sensory experiences, food tasting and exciting tuff tray activities. These activities have helped us develop our language, confidence and curiosity while having lots of fun.
A little reminder as we head into the warmer weeks ahead: please apply sun cream before nursery and send your child in with a sun hat so they can enjoy all our outdoor adventures safely. More suncream will be applied throughout the day ☀️🧢.
Thank you for your continued support especially in this hot weather we will continue to do floor based water play to keep our temperatures down. Tomorrow is a hot one, please ensure loose clothing is worn and a water bottle to be brought with them.

☀️ Sun Safety Reminder ☀️

Dear Parents and Carers,

As the weather is very warm, if your child is attending nursery over the next few days please help us keep the children safe and comfortable by ensuring they come to nursery with:

• Sun cream applied before arrival.
• A named sun hat or cap.
• Suitable lightweight loose fitting clothing that covers shoulders where possible.
• A named water bottle, if you haven’t brought one in already.
• Offering plenty of fluids at home before drop off and collection.

A message has also been sent via the nursery app. The staff will continue to support encouraging regular drinks, ice pop breaks, lots of floor based water play, providing shade where possible, fans, fan water sprays and adapting outdoor play times to keep children safe in the heat, and monitoring children throughout the day.

⭐️. If your child at home appears unwell or is showing signs of heat exhaustion, please keep them at home and seek appropriate medical advice. Thank you again for your support in helping us keep everyone safe during the hot weather.

It’s going to be a warm week! so please make sure your child has a named sun hat and a water bottle.
We’ll be encouraging lots of drinks throughout the day and spending time in the shade where possible,
-Can you please apply sun cream before arriving at nursery, please let us know, we will keep them topped up with nursery sun cream throughout the day.
-Could you make sure your child is wearing lightweight, comfortable clothing each day.
-We’ll be keeping an eye on everyone to make sure they stay cool and hydrated.

Group Photo Day – Monday 8th June 📸

We will be taking our nursery group photo on Monday 8th June.

If your child is not normally in nursery on this day but you would like them to be included in the group photo, please bring them to nursery at 9:30am and wait with them until they are called for the photograph.

For children who are leaving nursery to start school, we will also be taking Graduation Portrait Photos on the same day. 🎓

April at Rainbows 🌈

-What a lovely month we have had at Rainbow.

We celebrated Easter with lots of wonderful themed activities, creative fun, and some amazing dress-up outfits from the children 🐣🌷

The children have also loved making the most of the sunny weather with lots of outdoor play, physical activities, and water play fun ☀️. From running, exploring and staying active outside to splashing and enjoying the sunshine, lots of natural exploring activities, it has been lovely to see everyone so happy and engaged outdoors.

A huge congratulations to Aimee D on celebrating her 2-year anniversary with the nursery — thank you for all your hard work and dedication

We are also so proud of our staff achievements:
✨ Hadia is now fully qualified Level 3 in Childcare
✨ Paige is now qualified Level 2 and continuing on to complete her Level 3
