We are so excited to welcome back our wonderful students and introduce lots of new young artists to our Fine Art classes! ✨

Get ready to explore creativity, learn new artistic skills, experiment with different materials and, of course, create some amazing Safari-inspired artworks along the way! 🐅🦒

🌈 We are absolutely thrilled to let you know that the Cygnets National Art Awards 2026 are officially open! This year's wonderful theme is "Colours of the Rainbow," and we are so excited to see how young artists celebrate vibrant colour in their own unique way.

Here is everything you need to know to join in the fun:

🎨 Completely free to enter!
🇬🇧 Open to all creative children in the UK aged 5–18 (you don't need to be a Cygnets student to join us).
🖼️ Drawing & Illustration, Painting, or Mixed Media.
📸 Simply take a clear photo of the artwork and upload it online.
🖌️ Feel free to share up to four beautiful pieces per child.
🏫 We love when schools get involved! Teachers are more than welcome to enter on behalf of their students with parental consent.
📆 Please make sure to submit entries by Friday, 30 October.

Lovely prizes will be awarded for our wonderful winners, runners-up, and finalists in every age group. We also can't wait for the Audience Choice Award and a special prize to celebrate the school with the most entries! Last year, we were overjoyed that several children who had never entered an art competition before took home prizes, so we truly encourage everyone to give it a go.

🎨 Did you know you can start planning ahead for our upcoming October and Christmas holiday workshops right now?

For the October Half Term, held on October 27th, we have the following wonderful projects planned:

🍂 10:30am – 12:00pm: ‘Potion Bottle’ with Acrylic
🍂 12:30pm – 2:00pm: ‘The Coyote Who Stole the Moon’ with Gouache

Looking further ahead to the Christmas holidays, we will be hosting sessions on December 22nd and 29th:

🎄 10:30am – 12:00pm: Wreath with Soft Pastels
🎄 12:30pm – 2:00pm: Nutcracker with Acrylic
