π¬This week, Mr Ahmed and Mrs Brown proudly launched our new Student Parliament, placing learner voice at the heart of everything we do at The Link Academy.
π Our structure includes Prime Ministers in Year 11, alongside Cabinet Members and Members of Parliament in Key Stage 3, giving students meaningful opportunities to lead and shape their school experience.
Student leadership at The Link Academy has gone from strength to strength this year, with fantastic initiatives such as Culture Week and our growing partnership with Merry Hill. π The challenge has now been set: how will you make a difference in September?π‘β¨

π Thank you to Cat Eccles MP for taking the time to visit the Everwild Festival and support an event that celebrates sustainability, nature and community.
It was fantastic to see our learners showcasing their talents, leading workshops and engaging with the local community. Events like this demonstrate the positive contribution young people make when given opportunities to lead and inspire. We hope you cherish your keychain that you made.
We appreciate your support for our learners and for the communities we serve. π

π Thank a Teacher Day π
The best way to understand the impact of school staff is to listen to the students themselves. As part of our Staff Star nominations, students shared examples of the difference staff have made in their lives:
These comments remind us that education is about so much more than lessons. Every day, staff support, encourage, guide and care for our young people, helping them to grow in confidence and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
On Thank a Teacher Day, we would like to say thank you to every member of staff who makes a positive difference to our students and our school community.

π Thank a Teacher Day π
This Thank a Teacher Day (this Thursday), we're celebrating the incredible staff who make a difference every single day.
As part of our Staff Star nominations, learners were asked which qualities best describe the adults in our school. Their responses spoke volumes, with words such as supportive, caring, positive, encouraging and kind chosen to reflect the impact our staff have on their lives.
A huge thank you to all our teachers, support staff, office staff, site team and lunchtime supervisors. Your dedication, commitment and care do not go unnoticed.
