👀‼️ Let’s address a common issue, and create awareness of the dangers.

Over the last few weeks I’ve had more people than usual with complaints of ‘faulty car seats’ however, 9/10 times food is the culprit, not a fault.

𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁, 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗲 / 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁.

Yesterday the children enjoyed following the instructions and working as a team to bake some Bluey Cupcakes.

They also enjoyed eating a cupcake they had made for pudding. Yummy 😋

Our week may be finished, but we’re not! Wish us luck building a 25-cube Kallax unit this evening… because, of course, it’s Friday night - what else would we rather be doing? 🤪

What a wonderful week we’ve had!

From under-the-sea invitations to play, crafting and creating special pictures, baking a delicious berry crumble, and exploring colours, to using Magna-Tiles not only for building but for exploring projections too (has anyone else seen this hack? It’s amazing! ✨).

We’ve been blowing bubbles for our puppies, learning all about ourselves and the differences that make us unique, developing our fine motor skills with Dough Disco and sequin pictures, and celebrating some fantastic achievements as children practised forming numbers, writing letters, and even writing their full names! 🥺

Blossom, our class bear, has headed home with one of our little ones, we’ve had a gorgeous new arrival in the family, potty training is well underway for some of our children, and certificates and stickers have been flying out all week.

I am SO proud of every single one of you. 🩷

This one is called Wing It Berry Crumble 😆

It’s Friday, which in our house means one thing: the fridge clean-out challenge before the next food shop!

We had a random collection of berries looking suspiciously close to retirement, a packet of Rich Tea biscuits that had somehow survived for weeks, a bit of brown sugar in the baking cupboard, some flour, and a lonely chunk of unsalted butter in the fridge begging to be used.

Before anyone asks… yes, everything was still in date! 😅

Did we have a recipe? Absolutely not. 🙈

Our older children chopped up the berries while our younger children enthusiastically attacked the biscuits and turned them into crumbs. 🤣

We threw everything together, added a spoonful of jam, a splash of vanilla extract, crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.

At this point it was less “baking” and more “kitchen science experiment.”

Somehow, by what can only be described as a miracle, the result was a delicious berry crumble! 🤩

Served with plenty of yummy custard, it turned out to be one of those accidental recipes that everyone loved.

Proof that sometimes the best puddings come from complete guesswork, a fridge clear-out, and a little bit of blind confidence! 😆🩷
