The first term of 2024 is well under way and once again I would like to express my thanks to all those that have entrusted me with educating your child.

Parents, me included, are often forthcoming to sign their children up to a sports team, or the monthly subscription to their X-box.
It's a much easier sell than an extra hour of English and maths tuition!
However, an investment in education, can benefit them in so many ways.
Not only does it develop confidence, but helps them master effective problem-solving methods and test-taking strategies.
Our sessions are also lots of fun!

Sessions are held at St Andrew's church hall, The Straits, Gornal, where we focus on a hands-on, practical approach to learning 👍🏻
Students receive more focused time as our groups are capped to six and are capably supported by an older tutee as an assistant.

**YEAR 6 SATS BOOSTER CLASS**

We currently have a space on our year 6 SATS booster class.

We complete an alternate week of English & maths, underpinning the key skills needed to succeed in the SATS assessments.

Our second classes of the Summer 2024 term returned this evening.

It was nice to see our year 9/10 group back on fine form and enjoying their session 🙏
The majority of the group have been with me since year 5 and have made great progress in their maths and English.
All have moved up sets in these subjects and have found the additional tuition to be beneficial.

We currently have 1 space on this group: Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm

Our Summer 2024 term kicked off tonight and we greatfully welcomed back some familiar faces.

It was pleasing to see several of our year 6 students returned despite completing their SAT'S last month 🙏
They will undertake a 7 week programme to prepare them for the transition into year 7.

Our current year 7 students were brushing up on their SPaG skills on this, their final countdown to their 6 week holiday.

A new whiteboard has been installed too, by our Precious handyman: Big Col.

Happy Easter all,

We currently have 1 slot available on our popular year 7/8 booster classes.
The group tuition session alternates between a week of English and maths.

The session is held on a Monday evening between 5.30-6.30 at St Andrew's Church Hall, The Straits, Lower Gornal, DY3 3AB.
The sessions cover key areas within the KS3 curriculum and are delivered in an engaging and practical manner.
