YIN + NIDRA
Every 2nd Sunday of the month, in 2 locations!
11:00am - 12:30pm at Bridgnorth Pilates Studio🌳
5:00pm - 7:00pm at The Beehive, Sedgley🐝
If you find your flexibility isn’t improving in your regular weekly Yang classes, Yin could help. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine Yin works with your Meridians (energy channels) throughout the body to balance our Chi/Qi. By holding postures between 3-5 minutes, this allows the fascia (muscle tissue) to be able to release, allowing you to settle into the pose.
Yoga Nidra is the practice of yogic sleep, it's a guided meditation where you relax to the sound of my voice. It's a space where we put the body to sleep but keep the mind active. One of my regulars said he struggled with sleep for a long time but it's helped him sleep a lot better over the last few months of joining! 💤
Lots of comfy, cosy props are provided! Fluffy socks and pillows/cushions are encouraged so please bring them with you🧦✨

The synergy of meditative and physical practice is joined by the breath. Combined they challenge the minds tolerance for stillness and give us the ability to sit with what comes up in the body or mind.
It allows us to sit with the discomfort, instead of fighting it.
Sthira Sukham Asanam (Yoga Sutra 2.46), which translates to: The posture should be steady and easeful/comfortable.
This isn’t suggesting you should find yoga easy, it’s suggesting our approach is what matters and if we loose our steadiness and ease, we’ve gone too far. Similarly if we loose the breath, Drishti (gaze) and concentration, we’ve lost the yoga!
