Pokémon Club is back this Saturday at Glenurquhart Library! ⚡
Drop-in for our volunteer led activities and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon! Meeting monthly, best for ages 6+ (children under 8 require adult supervision).

Have we lost our marbles? No, not even one of them! This week's Friday challenge was embraced by Christopher and Matthew, who between them build a magnificent, multi-media marble run on the library floor. Turns out it could launch marbles that travelled over 1 metre! Then, as a quick encore, they added their names to our ongoing aeroplane challenge leader board.

Next week's challenge -- the last in the series -- is no secret: drop by any time between 9am and 1pm on Friday the 14th of August for an encore of all our Friday challenges over the summer!

This week's Friday Challenge: build a marble run! Lego, tape, recycling materials and actual marble run pieces will be available (but if you build it out of recycling materials, you can take it home with you!)

Yesterday's challenge really stretched our participants -- or rather, the Silk clay they were using to create book-inspired masterpieces, and sometimes just masterpieces! Well done, Amber, Alan and Jamie for your creations, and thank you for participating!

Next week's challenge will involve marbles, Sellotape, and the recycling bin...

Today's Friday challenge! Think of a book you've read that you loved. Was there an animal, person or thing in it that you loved, or that stayed with you? Make it in miniature out of Silk clay! Then, if you wish to, pose it somewhere in the library for a photo shoot! (Or if you prefer, just have fun with the Silk clay!)

(Apologies for the lateness of this update: a brief internet outage yesterday made it impossible to update at the usual time. Hopefully fixed now!)
