Group time today in Little Divers 🚗 🚙 What fantastic attention and listening skills they displayed whilst listening to Charlotte. They followed Charlotte’s demonstration and then played happily making various marks on paper.

Excellent gross motor skills making big movements with their arms!

Our practitioners facilitate great learning and play opportunities for the children.

… it also helped that the children cleaned the cars at the end too 😂🙌🏻🚗

Scrap Dragon staff session 🐉♻️✨
This months staff meeting focused on how we can use recycled materials to inspire creativity through junk modelling, while working together as a team to bring new ideas into our setting.

By sharing ideas, supporting one another, and planning how to incorporate recycled play into our daily routine, we’re creating a more engaging, sustainable environment for everyone 🌍💚

What a magical week we had celebrating World Book Day at nursery! 📚✨ The children (and staff!) came dressed as their favourite storybook characters, bringing so many wonderful stories to life.

Throughout the week we explored lots of themed activities inspired by our favourite books. The children had so much fun building Stick Man out of playdough, sharing and reading their favourite stories together, and even heading to the park in their fantastic costumes! 🌳

It’s been a week full of imagination, creativity, and a real love of stories — we’ve loved every minute! ❤️

Today we have welcomed to carry out Paediatric First Aid training! We think that it is vital for all of our staff to be Paediatric first aid trained, so everyone knows how to respond to an emergency, or to any injury for that matter.
We are so lucky that we have our own Paediatric defibrillator at nursery too, alongside a life-vac for serious choking episodes.

This week has been Children’s mental health week! As a nursery we do so much to support the mental health of our little ones.
From our jabadao/movement area that helps with emotional regulation, to using stories and books to explore our feelings together 📚⭐️
Our class pets offer comfort, responsibility, and companionship, while light-up sensory toys provide calm and focus.
Getting the children out and about is also a big part of what we do, with preschool accessing nearby woodland every week!
Supporting children’s mental health isn’t just a one off- it’s something we weave into everything we do, every day! 🌈✨

External providers!

Last week we welcomed Kathryn to nursery to carry out some slime workshops! Kathryn adapted the sessions to each age group- Preschool enjoyed a science lesson about how the ingredients react, whilst babies enjoyed taste-safe sensory play.

Consumables fees not only pay for meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, outings etc, but also pay for exciting experiences such as this one. We love to see how much our children enjoy them ☺️

🎄 Tis the season! At the start of December, we held our very own Christmas Fair where we raised £470 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital 🏥🎄 Hopefully this money will help to put a smile on some faces 🥰

Throughout October and November, Little Feet has been enjoying our annual stay and play sessions. Completely free for families to attend, it’s a great opportunity for parents to get to know each other, chat to their child’s staff team and enjoy some fun, themed activities with their little ones. We love our stay and plays and we hope you did too!

Important announcement 📣

We are very lucky to be able to say that we are now full until January 2027, with only Monday and Fridays available until April 2027.

Due to demand, we are only able to take new starters as babies.

As always, we would like to thank our supportive, wonderful families who love Little Feet as much as we do!

What a wonderful day! Another great success 🥰
We made a total of £767.85 for charity!
We love our annual summer fair and we know our families do too! A huge thank you to each and every member of our wonderful staff team who gave up their Saturday morning to make it happen.
Another big thank you to all the local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle, you were all so generous!
