Our first Puzzles and Board Games Club is just 3 weeks away! And we are getting very excited!

We are running a competition for you to win your first session for FREE! 🥳

In order to enter the competition, you have to:

1) be a member of our facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1413133977544956
2) share this post from the group
3) comment "done" below in the comments so that we can enter all the names in to a random name generator.

A few things:

1 entry per person

You can book onto the sessions as normal before the competition date ends, your session fee will be reimbursed if you win.

September is getting surprisingly close!

We are slowly getting everything ready for the new term and we do still have a small number of spaces available in our English and Maths groups.

They're suitable for children needing support in KS1 and KS2, and if SATs and 11+ are on the horizon.

Groups are kept to a maximum of 3 students, so learning can be adapted to each child rather than everyone simply completing the same work.

Sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you're wondering whether a group would suit your child, you're very welcome to message and have a chat first — there's no obligation to book.

Whilst we may not be running our tutoring sessions during the summer holidays, work is still going on to prepare ready for September.

Here’s a recent photo of how a typical session is run (minus the ice lolly - that was a heatwave treat! 😉 )

This is one of Laura’s groups, but all sessions have the same general set up.

🩵 small groups of up to 3 students maximum

🩵 each student following their own individual plan, tailored to their needs following assessment/gap analysis

🩵 student led progress, building confidence in one area before moving on to the next

🩵 dedicated 1:1 time within the session, supporting consolidation and identifying areas for development

🩵 a range of learning styles supported

🩵 dbs checked tutors and teachers with experience in mainstream and alternative provision settings

We are getting super excited about some of our new offerings coming up - starting with our Home Ed 'Drop and Go' Puzzles and Board Games Club in September!

🙌The Games and Puzzles collection is building very nicely! (see photo!)
🙌We are just finalising all the nitty gritty bits of our booking system

The crucial pieces of information that you need to know are all in the graphic, but I've written them again below:

Our first session will be on Monday 28th September and will run weekly on a Monday and a Tuesday.

Session Times:
Mondays: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Tuesdays: 11:00am – 12:30pm

We are located on the Berry Hill Industrial Estate in Droitwich.

The cost is £8.50 per child. All school age children welcome!

There will be just 10 spaces available per session to keep the groups welcoming and engaging.

If you would like to be first in line to book on to our Puzzles and Board Games Club, please register your interest by emailing [email protected] with your child/children's age/s and we will send the booking link to you before it goes live on Facebook!

It may be a heatwave but we are continuing with tuition this week!

Emails have been sent to all families reminding all of our pupils to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring a drink with them.

We have drink making facilities here but own bottles are preferred and we can top up! 🥤

Fans are in each room keeping the air circulating. 🪭

And all pupils are being treated to a nice ice lolly to keep cool 🍦

We have been talking for AGES about our day time provision and how we would love to run some fun clubs for the Home Ed community.

After some research we noticed that maybe we could run a puzzles and games club!

So we are after a bit more research to see if it is a viable option from September and we have a few questions we would like to ask you:

❤️Firstly, is this something you would be interested in?

💜What day would be best for you? Monday, Tuesday or Thursday?

💙Would you prefer a morning or afternoon session?

💚What age range are your children - we were thinking to run separate sessions for varying age groups

💛Would you prefer a 90 min or 2 hour session?

🧡What sort of price would you pay for this service (bare in mind it is drop and go rather than stay and play)

Would you like your child to enter their next school year with confidence?

Summer is a great time to recharge — but research shows that children in the UK can lose up to 40% of their learning over the summer holidays, particularly in Maths and English. (tutorful.co.uk)

Our summer tuition sessions are designed to support your child’s learning and keep their confidence growing. Whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, we’re here to help.

What's more, you can book these sessions (as many or as few as you wish) without the worry of signing up to a regular contract of tuition.

This summer, Laura is offering sessions on the following dates and times:
Monday 3rd August: 9.45-10.45 and 11-12
Tuesday 4th August: 9.45-10.45 and 11-12
Wednesday 5th August: 9.45-10.45 and 11-12

Morning! Carly here :)

It’s certainly been an emotional week! I’ve been saying goodbye to my year 11 cohort over the last few weeks and the last few left yesterday. I’ve received some gorgeous gifts and the messages in the cards really have made me reflect on the difference that I make to these students, whether it’s knowledge or confidence they need (or both!)! It’s been an absolute pleasure watching them flourish in the time I have known them (some of them for many years!) and I wish every one of them the very best for the future!

As they embark on their final maths exam this morning, I’ll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for them all and look forward to hearing how they all got on in August!

Woohoo! We are 2!!

Two years ago today, 4 tutors embarked, with immense trepidation and excitement, on their adventures as independent tutors.

As previous tutors for Kip McGrath Droitwich, when the franchise closed we knew we wanted to carry on and build our own independent businesses, but it was scary to do it all on our own! So, we did it together!

We all share the same space, supporting and championing eachother along the way, building trusting relationships with our tutoring families and along with that, a great reputation for what we do - what could be better?!

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us from the very start and to those that have joined us along the way, or even those are yet to join us but follow along anyway!
