This afternoon the children eho had achieved their 30 week reading award joined together for their reading party.
The children enjoyed some time in the shade, a craft activity and a delicious ice cream!
Thank you for supporting your child in their home reading. It really makes every difference to their progress and confidence :)

🌟 Reception Places Available for September at Westlands First School and Nursery 🌟
We currently have Reception places available for September, and would love to welcome new families to Westlands First School and Nursery.
If you’re a parent who is still considering your options or aren’t completely happy with your school allocation, you are very welcome to come and have a look around our friendly, nurturing school.
We also invite parents and children to join our Stay and Play sessions on Friday afternoons — a lovely opportunity to meet our Early Years team, explore our setting, and see how we support children’s learning through play.
We are proud that our most recent OFSTED inspection rated us ‘Good’, with particular praise for our Early Years provision, where children are supported to feel happy, confident and ready to learn.

Please come along to our free stay and play sessions. Every Friday 1.30 - 2.30. Come and see our lovely school, meet the staff and children and have some fun!

Last week- our school friends from Worcestershire Wildlife Trust visited the children from Year 1 and 2. We had a wonderful morning testing acorns and planting them ready to grow into trees!
We can't wait to continue our projects with the trust and the children are excited to see the updates from their planting!

Applications for Reception class September 2026

Please can I remind any nursery parents who have not yet applied for a place in Reception for September 2026 that the cut off date is 15th January 2026 and we urge you to apply as soon as possible.
