Last week at Muddy Boots Drighlington, the Adventurers said farewell to Jackie, a cherished member of the team for 18 years ❤

To celebrate Jackie and wish her all the best, the children worked together to design a thank you card. Continuing their creativity, they enjoyed experimenting with different materials to decorate paper, using pipettes to splat the paint, and adding glitter and pom-poms all over.

They did a wonderful job, and had a lovely last day with the team - thank you Jackie!

Muddy Boots Gildersome have made it to the press! 🎉

We're so proud of all the team, children and families at Gildersome who worked so hard to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer ❤️

We're excited to keep sharing the fundraising efforts from all of our nurseries soon, so stay tuned!

At Muddy Boots Nursery, we believe in giving back to and supporting causes that truly matter to our families and local community. We are incredibly proud to share that, thanks to Morley’s fundraising efforts throughout 2025, we have donated £1,126.68 to The Brain Tumour Charity.

Muddy Boots Morley’s chosen charity of the year for 2025 was The Brain Tumour Charity. The charity holds a very special place in many hearts, offering vital support and advice to families, providing gifts for children, and funding crucial clinical trials.

This amazing donation represents the combined efforts of our children, families, staff and wider community at Muddy Boots Morley, who took part in and generously supported a range of fundraising events across the year.

This week, the Gildersome Discoverers have been embracing the cold and wet weather by getting creative! ☔️

The children engaged in a lovely rain-themed water colour activities using sparkly blue paints to create some beautiful pictures that looked like raindrops. Many of the children explored different tools and methods to create their artwork, experimenting with their fingertips and shaking paint from their brushes onto the paper.

We loved seeing how they each created their own artwork - we may have some budding artists in our Discoverers room!

The Drighlington and Morley Adventurers have had lots of fun exploring animals through playing in sensory trays 🐄🐇🐒🐜

The children love sensory tray activities, exploring the different textures and using their imagination to play with different objects inside - in this case, toy animals! Outside, the Adventurers love to play with animals too, moving them around the garden and continuing to build their imaginative play skills.

We love seeing how children engage with every activity at Muddy Boots, as that helps us to build activities upon their interests and further develop our approach to child-lead learning!
