"What a Night!"
A little 'me' post today.
Last night was the 10th year of running the Thursday football awards. In that time, i believe I have missed only 5 sessions.
It was a fantastic little bash [I didn't drink!] and made sure everyone got back safe

The boys got me a little gift to say thanks for stats, team selections, and money records keeping. The mug sums me up (sorry for the swear but it is totally true!). Rest assured - I will not be supping coffee in this during tutoring sessions!

Thanks to Matty Watchorn for helping organise teams whilst I tutor. 🙏

A great night and I hope those that... endulged... enjoyed the photographs and spreadsheet for the season that I sent at 6.13am this morning. 😂🤗🤭

Happy weekend all.

"A little Treat."
You absolutely cannot beat croissants. But a lidl blueberry muffin? That's next level treat gauge.
Talking of treats and tricks... 7 sign ups so far to the Halloween post! Get signed up and get sharing. (Link to post in comments )

What's your favourite 'sinful' treat?! 😇🧁🍰🍥

Yes, it's American themed, but turn it to: Infant teachers/tutors - love kids; Primary teachers/tutors - crazy. Secondary teachers - subject matter.

Outrage, this end. I don't think I am 'Crazy'? I mean, I've been called a bit weird but crazy!? I do not concur.

Fellow tutors, do you agree with this? Which category do you fall into? Do you believe in a hybrid?!

"Air Fry Activated"
Ok. So it wasn't as lush as expected. Chips were in at 200 deg for 20 mins. Shaken around at 12 mins in. Veg was terrible, to be honest. 200 deg at 10 mins.
Any thoughts or suggestions for improvement, PTO peeps?!

"The Thursday Session!"
Thursdays come and go so quickly! If you want to join us at 6pm for a small group setting, we cover Year 5/6 material. It's good fun, there's a group chart (where you can choose your own sticker and sound button) and these guys really do support each other!
I had never heard of Bitzee until now, but it's Wallace and Gromit questions next week. I wonder if we will do fractions with cheese!?

Get in touch if you would like to join in on the fun and learning. :)

"Week 1"
What a lovely week back it's been. Seeing all the old faces and new faces at Learn Laugh Play and greeting my older students who start the new academic year. It's been lovely catching up on their holidays and what they have been up to!

There have been so many changes:
- Microsoft Publisher is going to be no longer in October! My resource-creating friend for worksheets, we now turn to mastering Microsoft PowerPoint and sprucing up Word.
- My partner is helping more for the building of advertising. (Pictured) Emily really is by my side in more ways than others - thank you. :)
- Making Tax Digital - we are getting ahead of the game with accounting software, business accounts and managing invoice systems to be ready for the changes that the government is rolling out to small businesses.
- Course development - working through understanding Functional Skills and applying it in real-life contexts is great!
- The website is going to be undergoing some changes with resources and (eventually) course material. It's getting exciting!

Yesterday was great to reflect, walk and play with the kids on the beach, after being treated to a Cappuccino from my good lady. What to do with my Sunday to relax this coming week? Answers on a postcard!
