✨ Upcycle Your Wardrobe with Sass Tetzlaff

Join award-winning textile artist Sass Tetzlaff for an inspiring two-day workshop where you'll transform any item of clothing into a unique, one-of-a-kind garment.

🧵 Two Saturdays, 21st and 28th November 10am to 4pm

Day 1: Develop your design, explore creative techniques, and plan your project with expert guidance.

Day 2: Bring your vision to life with hands-on support from Sass as you create your finished piece.

Use our range of specialist machines, including overlockers, coverstitcher, embroidery machines, felting machines and we even have the Babylock Sashiko. (Of course you can bring your own if you prefer).

Small class sizes ensure plenty of individual tuition, plus tea, coffee and biscuits are included!

Whether you're passionate about sustainable fashion, creative sewing, or simply want to learn from an award-winning artist, this is a course not to be missed! ✨♻️👗🪡

🎃👻 Lots of lovely things happening at KMR Sewing! 👻🎃

We've had some fabulous new stock arrive today, including these gorgeous coasters. Perfect if you're already thinking ahead to Secret Santa gifts! 🎁

The shop is getting a little more Halloweeny too, so why not pop in and have a browse? 🎃

We also had a lovely customer donate a fantastic selection of sewing patterns and sewing magazines, all free to a good home. Whether you're looking for inspiration for your next project or just fancy a rummage, there's plenty to discover!

We have had a fantastic and very busy weekend at KMR Sewing! ✂️🧵

Saturday's Beginners Sewing Class continued to learn new skills, they started by putting zips into things and then explored a variety of different seam finishes.

Meanwhile, our Advanced Overlocker Course stepped things up a notch, learning how to create a 3-thread flatlock stitch and even overlock an inside corner before preparing for making a multi panelled dress.

Today at Nafferton, we enjoyed a wonderful mix of projects, welcomed some lovely new faces, and celebrated some amazing achievements. One lady, who hadn't sewn since she was 15 years completed a pair of shorts with pockets in them! They looked fab and were a real reminder that it's never too late to get back into sewing. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. Seeing new skills develop, confidence grow, and friendships form is what it's all about. ❤️

Another fab day at KMR Sewing!

Our beginners absolutely smashed week 2 — they made their own pin cushions and learnt applique, and they’re already flying 🧵💗

Meanwhile on the advanced overlocker course, the group made these amazing shorts with a lettuce hem… all stitched entirely on the overlocker. Not a sewing machine in sight! ✂️

And while all that was happening, Sarah has been busy creating gorgeous new designs on her brand‑new embroidery machine she bought from us this week — we LOVE seeing customers dive straight into their creativity.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Sass, who’ll be running some amazing workshops with us very soon.

You’ll never leave feeling unsure — we show you how everything works, so you go home feeling confident and excited to sew.

This weekend was everything we love about KMR Sewing — busy rooms, new skills, lots of laughter and a whole bunch of proud moments.
Our beginners started their sewing journey on Saturday morning and did amazingly. In the afternoon our advanced overlockers tackled zips, rolled hems and woolly nylon… the reactions were priceless!Sunday brought our monthly Nafferton Day, always such a lovely mix of familiar faces and new ones.Thank you to everyone who joined us — you make our sewing community what it is. Can’t wait for the next round of workshops 😊

🧵✨ We’re so excited for this Saturday — our Sewing for Beginners and Advanced Overlocking courses are nearly here!

🕤 Beginners Sewing starts at 9.30am
🕜 Advanced Overlocking starts at 1.30pm

You’re more than welcome to bring your own machine, but don’t worry if you haven’t got one — we can lend you one 🙂. Everything else is provided, and there’ll be plenty of tea and coffee flowing throughout the day ☕❤️
