This afternoon we’ve had our very own Wimbledon experience - from collecting tickets at the ticket office to enjoying strawberries & cream! Oh and a sneaky glass of ‘champagne’

We’ve had a gorgeous afternoon watching the tennis and enjoying our last few days before some of our pre school children leave us for ‘big school’

We spoke about the different crops we could see around us and what these will be used for and the process to get to its end products. 🩵💙

We have now opened our waiting list for Easter 24 - Our setting is now FULL for all sessions until then. We’re extremely grateful to all our families for choosing us to care for their precious little people ♥️♥️

As a small rural setting our spaces go quickly, we provide care for small groups of children giving that personal experience. Did you know we have 40 children in the whole setting? That’s across four of our amazing rooms! Please do contact us for nursery places from 2024 🫶🏻

Wednesday is international Yoga day 2023 🧘🏻‍♂️ and every Monday our pre school take part in their own yoga class with Marnie. Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our pre school families to join us in the garden for our weekly session - I’m sure you’ll all agree Marnie is brilliant and so are her classes!

We’ve had the best day celebrating the kings coronation together today. Our practitioners planned a range of activities alongside our group celebrations and afternoon tea.

Hearing comments like ‘Iv loved this day at nursery’ makes our day - knowing the children go home having had the best day is priceless to us ♥️

We’ve been busy today learning how the take care of our new arrivals. Aren’t they the cutest?

Animals come with responsibilities, and it’s important to give our children that experience too! This afternoon the children helped clean out the chicks, prepare their food and refill their water.

We’ve been lucky enough to see this gorgeous little chick enter the world this morning! Six eggs left to hatch over the next few hours - what am amazing experience for our children. These chicks will remain with us at nursery before joining Manor Farm ✨

Lots of exciting farming experiences planned at Manor Farm this week. We have our Tadpoles set up in our pre school room, as part of our theme ‘New Life’. We also have our chicks eggs in the incubator due to hatch this week and plan to take a visit to the farm to watch the Bulls have their bath time as they begin preparations for Driffield Show this year.

A gorgeous bouquet delivered today for Megan in our chicks room. Megan joined us in February making the 5th member of the baby room team. I hear the ladies so often telling me how amazing Megan is, and how they’d be lost without her.

We’ve decided we want a ‘New Look’

From Monday you’ll find our Old Macs ladies in their Blue Shirts.

A few months ago, initiated by our pre school boys ‘sharp shirt Friday’ became a weekly occurrence. I mean how cute do they look in their shirts 🥹
Before we knew it, this had swept through the nursery and the children now get excited to wear shirts on a Friday - we absolutely love that this is something they have created and discussed between themselves and that now our families talk about it too!

From this, we took inspiration and decided we would also like to join the ‘Sharp Shirt’ trend! A couple of weeks later, here we are changing our whole uniform! ☺️

I mean, is there anything more exciting than snow in early years?

Some of our children have not yet experienced snow in their little lives - How special that we get to create these memories and experiences together ✨

We’re looking for another practitioner to join the baby room team. Our lovely Katie H will be leaving us shortly to begin her maternity leave ✨

This position is permanent, and the newest member of the team will join our five other marvellous ladies in the baby room. Ahead of Valentine’s Day next week we’ve created a Love post box in our nursery entrance., accompanied with a delivery trolley to share the love around Old Macs 🌹

Children are welcome to post cards/notes in the post box & we will be sure to get the delivery to them on time! The love post is open until Friday 17th February
