What a fantastic Preschool Leavers Party we had! 🎉💜

A huge thank you to The Purple Pig Company for bringing along their amazing animals. The children (and grown-ups!) loved meeting the baby ducks, piglets, goats and all the other wonderful animals. 🐥🐷🐐

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our amazing children before they head off on their next adventure, and it was so lovely to have our families there to share the special morning with us. ❤️

🌻 What a wonderful way to end our academic year! 🌻

Over the last two weeks, our “Into the Garden” theme has been full of fun, exploration and learning. 🌿🐞

Our children have:
🐛 Painted colourful mini beasts.
🔎 Gone on bug hunts in the garden to discover all sorts of creepy crawlies.
🎨 Created beautiful garden-themed collages.
✋ Developed their fine motor skills through a range of exciting activities.
🌱 Planted vegetables in our playdough garden, using their imagination and creativity.

We’re also so excited to see that our pumpkins are now starting to flower! 🎃🌼 We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow.

As we come to the end of another fantastic year, we’d like to say a huge good luck to all of our Rising 5s as they begin their next adventure at school. We are so proud of every one of you and know you will all be amazing! ❤️ We look forward to celebrating with you at the Leavers’ Party on Monday.

To all of our September returners, we hope you have a wonderful, fun-filled summer holiday. We can’t wait to welcome you back when we reopen on 8th September.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful families for your continued support throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to watch your children learn, grow and flourish. Thank you for allowing us to be part of their journey.

Another busy and exciting week at First Steps Preschool! 🌟

As part of our “Out and About” topic, we travelled all the way to the Arctic this week 🐻‍❄️

The children had great fun exploring with sensory rice and snow, fishing for fish, building igloos, painting ice, creating their own Arctic animals and learning all about this chilly environment.

We also tried to keep cool like the Arctic with plenty of ice lollies, paddling and water play! ☀️🧊

We even enjoyed some of our very own strawberries at snack time that have been growing in our garden — they were delicious! 🍓

Next week we will be exploring our new topic “Into the Garden” with lots of exciting activities planned as we discover more about the wonderful world around us. 🌱🌼

🌳✨ This week at First Steps Preschool we went exploring into the forest! ✨🌳

The children enjoyed lots of exciting woodland-themed activities. We searched for animal and nature pictures hiding in the Sahara sand, explored lots of natural resources with the playdough, and used the diggers to scoop and investigate the natural materials. 🌿

We also explored water play with natural resources, discovering different textures and experimenting through play. 💧🍃

The children got creative with lots of painting and used the light box to create their very own animals. 🎨🐾

We’ve had a fantastic week of exploring, discovering and learning together!

❄️ Next week, we’re heading somewhere much colder… the Arctic! We can’t wait for our next adventure! 🐧🧊
