I am so proud of the wealth of opportunities we provide for our Globetrotters here at WAH. 🤩
This year staff member Joanne offered to run free ballet lessons for our older toddlers and preschoolers every Monday morning. And they have amazed us! 🩰🎵
Last night she hosted a little ballet presentation with the Park Ranger dancers, to show their grownups what they've learnt before they leave for school. 🥹 They knew exactly what they were doing and have clearly really enjoyed it! 🎼👑
We are so lucky to have such talented staff who bring their own hobbies, interests and experiences to share with our fortunate little people. 💚 What a special place we are. 🌈

Last call for any previous Globetrotters now in Reception, Yr 1 or Yr 2 📣 Final few spaces available for them to come back and play at holiday club this summer. 🌳🌍🫶🏽
You just drop them off with weather appropriate clothing, spare outfits, plenty of food and we return them filthy, happy and tired! 😆 🤎

10 of us had the BEST time on Saturday morning with Jodie, owner of Yorkshire Muddings 🌳 FOREST SCHOOL & WOODLAND PLAY 🌳 Jodie taught us everything we need to know about campfire safety, starting & maintaining a fire, dealing with burns and lots of delicious recipes! 😋
We have a bit of theory work to complete, aswell as practice and be observed running a camp fire, but hopefully in the long run it means we'll have 12 staff members competent enough to run and cook on a campfire! 🔥 Roll on many more meal times down at Wild Woods and campfire cooking with holiday club too! 🤩🍳

Using the Togetherness approach, moving up to primary school is seen as something children and adults go through together. It can feel exciting but also a bit worrying, so it’s important that children feel safe, understood and supported. Schools and families work closely to help children get familiar with their new environment, routines and people, through visits, sharing information and talking about what to expect. When adults take time to listen, offer reassurance and keep things predictable, children are more likely to feel confident, settle in more easily, and start to enjoy learning in their new school.

Final few spaces available from September are in our Park Ranger Preschool. 🇿🇦🌍🐦Built especially for us back in 2023, we offer a HUGE space for just 32 preschoolers a day, topped off with direct access out into another specially built playground. 🪵🐸🪨
Designed and managed by an early years teacher we offer all meals, forest school, phonics, art, ballet, and other adventures! Full day spaces are 8am - 6pm or a school day is 8.30 - 4pm and we offer TERM TIME ONLY spaces. 🗓 This September, we are sending children to 15 different schools! 🏡 Working closely with them all to ensure thorough handovers and a smooth transition. 👩🏻‍🏫
We accept funding which can also be shared with another preschool too. 💷 If you'd like to come view it for yourself and learn more, feel free to drop in Tuesday 23rd June anytime between 4 and 6 pm. 🫶🏽
