"Pay to Play"
I've seen a lot of posts about payment issues with clients. This should not be an issue as people should always pay for the services that you provide.
Many of you will be former professional teachers who tutor. Just remember: value yourself, your worth and your time. It will come through with the correct kind of clients whereby you meet their needs, but they must ALSO meet yours.

Get in touch to find out how you can strengthen your backbone, beat that imposter syndrome and lay way to new and improved methods of creating a harmonious client-relationship.

"We're back for some 11+ Action"

Hello Tutoring Hubbers!
Bek and I are back with another instalment for those wishing to tutor the 11+! It was such a great success with positive feedback afterwards, that we felt it was time to launch another 11+ webinar for Tutors (and parents soon) to move forwards and develop themselves in this aspect to tutoring.

Here is the advert in its fullest that the wonderful - and very knowledgeable - Bek Bradshaw has created. We look forward to seeing you there!

This post is for tutors (a webinar for parents will be released soon).
After the success of our last webinar, I am teaming up with Tutoring Online: The Training Hub again to present 'An Introduction to the 11+ for Tutors' on Tuesday 11th July at 7pm.
If you are just starting your tuition journey or if you are an experienced tutor already, this general introduction to the 11+ can help you to decide whether you would like to expand your business to include 11+ exam preparation too.
This hour-long webinar includes a question-and-answer session, so bring your questions, along with a notepad and pen.
For some tutors, the summer months are much quieter. Offering 11+ exam preparation sessions to your clients could help with this lull, as many students are looking for last minute question familiarisation lessons before their exams in September.
I am a qualified teacher with experience of 11+ exam preparation tuition. I passed my 11+ myself and my children both passed their 11+ to enable them to attend our local Grammar School. During this webinar, I aim to share my experiences to support other tutors who are thinking about tutoring for the 11+.
Nicholas Buckley is a qualified, experienced teacher who is currently a tutor for 5-11-year-olds. He supports tutors with online meetings and webinars via The Tutor Hub.
'An Introduction to the 11+ for Tutors' contains the information that tutors need to make a more informed decision about whether they want to take on this role as an extension of their business.
If you know anyone that this would help, please tell them about it.
To book your place, the information is in the comments.
We hope to see you there!

--- PINNED POST ---
Here is a post that you can make a resource request on. If you tutor online and want something a little different, pop your message after this post and I'll see what is in my bank!
There's a few niche resources that you won't find anywhere else and have a proven track record of keeping learners engaged or excited.
Pop your request on this post and I will see if I can help you. :)

"Still Alive!"
It's spring time and despite not updating the page for just over 3 months, we are still here!
The resource bank that I have accumulated through private work as well as work that I conduct through a home-ed company has been so much so, there's so much choice!
If you are still interested in any of the following key packages on offer:
- training on how to manage your online tutoring business;
- training on how to make amazing resources for your online tutoring business;
- training on how to manage online zoom sessions and maximising the zoom classes with group scenarios
then get in touch now or comment after this post if you are interested. :)

Hope that the followers who are established tutors on this page are finding success in maintaining your clients!

Happy spring.

"And So It Begins..."
Well, 2 days previously it begins! Are you all sorted for Christmas? Have you got arrangements with family sorted? Was this sorted last year but now things have changed? It's amazing what a few months can bring up and change!
Let us know in the comments if you are one of the ones that we envy who has got everything sorted and most likely had it done by early November! Or perhaps you are one of those who is starting to feel the creeping feeling of 'best get started, then!'
Whichever camp you are in, good luck fellow tutors and prospective tutors! :)

"SPRING CLEAN OUT"
Although it isn't quite spring, I have used the half term to clear out quite a lot of my old clutter as I prepare for a new phase of my life for 2023. With this clear-out and new horizons comes the occasional neglect of things that aren't in our 'usual' routines - which includes me maintaining this page!

How has everyone been over the last two months? Share how you ventures have been? Have you changed anything? Have you noticed any changes that are not necessarily within your control directly?

Drop a comment and let us know how your tutoring journey - if started - has been going!

"Wake me up, When September ends"
Wow, the schedule is full, the resources are primed and a few little events of helping others on the way in the calendar on a personal level are all in store.
This in mind, it's another month of not being able to run the free webinars, but I'm hoping for a half term for several webinars in a short space of time - maybe one paid, two/three free ones!

Keep your eyes peeled. Remember, you can get in touch if you want a one-to-one but you'll have to work around me with availability!

Enjoy September new tutors and established tutors alike!

"Summer Fun; Summer Thoughts"
As my own private tutoring endeavours are rested for just over 2 weeks, I can now give this page some much needed attention and blowing away of the cobwebs!
There's been a couple of one-to-ones I've had with showing tutors the power of PowePoints within their tutoring sessions and both have been met with lovely feedback. If this is something you want to consider in August / September, let me know! It's the most popular paid tutorial available and some are using it in their practise even now. :)

As I draw the curtains closed on another "academic year", I wonder what you tutors have been up to?
To those who are established: are you having a break over summer? Do you break when the children go back?
To those tutors yet to establish: are you marketing yourselves? Have you made adequate preparation or are you going to launch-and-learn on the role?

"Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!"
So this was a little project that took about 20 minutes this morning: Not my favourite since I am a Manchester City supporter! If you want to learn how to make your own digital sticker charts in to incentivise your tutoring sessions, get in touch now!
It's part of the PowerPoint package for bringing the medium to life and making resources bespoke. :)
(and yes, when you click the button in the top right of the chart, "Glory, Glory, Man United" begins to chant!)

"Start ups: LISTEN. Current Tutors: REFLECT"
If you have been tutoring for a while, sometimes you reflect on your journey to get to the point that you have now and you wonder if things could be different based upon your decisions and how you got to where you are now.

Those who have been tutoring for a period of time now, if there was something that you could go back and change from your journey to now, what would it be? Is it something you could change now? Would you change it?

24.6.22
"Summer lovin' or summer drought!?"
OK. It's the big question on everyone's minds right now: Do I continue tutoring during the summer months or to down sticks and take some time off? How much time off? Do I keep the same rate? Do I amalgamate my tutoring to one day alone? How do I account for the drop in income?

Share your thoughts on how you are aiming to tackle the "drought" and if you really are in a position to plan for and relax for this stranger period.
