Foraging workshops

Foraging workshops Interactive workshops facilitating the student in recognizing and preparing wild plants for use as in cooking and crafting.

Delamont monthly foraging workshops will provide the opportunity for members of the public to learn about wild plants, by identifying them in their natural habitat, then preparing them as food, beverages or components in crafting activities. There will also be the chance to learn about the medicinal and folkloric histories of the plants. The workshops will take place in a fun, informal environment

, involving field work, food preparation and sampling, as well as practical crafting. Each student will be provided with a set of notes outlining the plants covered in the session, along with recipes used and crafting instructions. Tea, coffee and lunch is included in the price and will be made with the plants that students have collected during the field walk and using traditional and innovative recipes from around the world.
