📸 **A little summer photo dump… because it’s been a while!** 🌿⛵️💙
It’s been a while since I last posted, and when I look back, I realise just how much has actually been happening this summer! So here’s a little photo bomb of some of the highlights… minus a few things we’d rather forget about! 😂
It’s been a busy few months of **sailing, family, adventures, and trying to take a proper break from work**. I’ve also had to admit that *burnout is very real* — and that sometimes looking after yourself has to come before everything else. ❤️
Which means the garden has definitely taken a back seat this summer! 🌿🙈 But honestly, that’s okay. Focusing on health and taking some time to breathe has been much more important.
🦉 **The barn owls** have had another VERY successful summer! Three chicks successfully fledged — although this year they decided to move house, so sadly no photos! 😂 Still, three more barn owls out into the world is absolutely brilliant news for the local population. 🦉❤️
🦆 **And our ducks…** After a lovely time with us, they’ve now moved to their retirement home at Streamvale Farm. We’re so thankful they’re now happily living with their own kind and enjoying a peaceful retirement — and, most importantly, no longer being chased around by the roosters! 😂🦆
⛵️ **Family life has been as busy as ever**, with sailing events, travelling, supporting the sailors and generally being here, there and everywhere. And we even managed a WIN! 🏆
🥇 **Ardglass Offshore Race — 1st in class!**
Choppy conditions, plenty of rollercoaster waves and lots of fun. Definitely one to remember! 🌊⛵️
So, that’s a little snapshot of our summer. Not everything has been perfect, and there have definitely been some bumps along the way, but there have also been lots of lovely moments, adventures, family time and reasons to be grateful.
Here’s to slowing down when we need to, looking after ourselves, and appreciating the good stuff. ❤️
