Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and explain why I decided to open my own business.
My name is Dorota, but please feel free to call me Dottie. I was born and raised in Poland.
In April 2006, I moved to England, working as an au-pair.
I started volunteering at the local primary school in September 2010, when I completed the Level 2 NVQ for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
One year later, I was offered a position as a Classroom Assistant at Oakhurst Primary School in Swindon. During that year, I also completed the Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
While working at Oakhurst, I finished the Bachelor of Arts in Early Years at The Open University in Milton Keynes. While studying for my degree, I also had my daughter, which was challenging but very rewarding.
In August 2020, I moved to Downpatrick, living with my husband and our six-year-old daughter. In the past two years, I worked as an Early Years Assistant in Ardglass Pre-school and Classroom Assistant in St Nicholas' Primary School.
Recently, I struggled to find childcare for our daughter; this is why I have decided to become a childminder. I completed the Paediatric First Aid, Health and Safety and Safeguarding Children in the childminding setting. I am also Access NI approved.
In the past years, I offered my help with looking after the children of our family, friends and neighbours.
I genuinely enjoy looking after children and supporting them during their everyday activities.
I am confident that your child will be safe in my care, and most importantly they will have a lot of fun. Arts and crafts, playing in the garden and exploring the great outdoors is my passion. I apologise in advance for the messy clothes when your child returns home. 🫶
