We’re delighted to invite our community to join us at The Goods Yard on the Folkestone Harbour Arm on Thursday 16th July, from 2:00pm–4:00pm, as we celebrate our Green Action Community Day.

Enjoy an afternoon of performances from pupils across the Trust, showcasing their talents and commitment to making a positive difference for our environment.

Congratulations to our Year 7 Athletics teams, who represented the Academy with tremendous pride, passion, and determination at the Dover Cup Athletics Competition.

Competing against a very strong and competitive field, both the boys' and girls' teams produced outstanding performances throughout the event. Their hard work, commitment, and excellent team spirit were evident in every race, jump, and throw.

We are delighted to announce that both teams secured an impressive 3rd place finish overall, with the girls missing out on second place by just 1 point!!!...........a fantastic achievement against such high-quality opposition.

Well done to all of the Year 7 athletes who took part. You were excellent ambassadors for the Academy and should be extremely proud of your achievements. We look forward to seeing your continued success in future competitions.🥳

Last Friday morning, our Year 7 students and pupils from our SRP- Aspen 2 enjoyed an engaging and inspiring Careers Fair, where they had the opportunity to meet a range of employers and organisations from across the local area. Exhibitors included Jenner Construction, Jackson Civils, Mears, Chloe Scott’s- Move It Dance, the Port of Dover, PFP Leisure (Dover Leisure Centre), Church & Dwight, Kent Police and the British Army. Students spoke confidently with representatives, asking questions and gaining valuable insights into the wide variety of career opportunities available to them.

The event helped students understand how the skills and knowledge they develop across different subjects in school can be applied in the world of work. It was fantastic to see such positive engagement from all involved, with many students leaving feeling inspired about their future pathways. A huge thank you to all of our exhibitors for giving their time and sharing their expertise. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dover Christ Church Academy again soon!

Aspen held a successful Parent Forum today which included a workshop on Puberty led by the special school nursing team. Parents found this really helpful and were able to ask for individual advice for their child. We also discussed school updates and transition into new classes next year.
